Quality - clean rooms
Enjoyed our stay- rooms were clean, roomy, easy to find and secure. Basics are there - all you need for a quick stay. Nice to have individual room with showers. Neighbourhood is comfortable- park and groceries near by. Parking was very easy and convenient. Very comfortable student housing that works well for a stayover. Would use again.

Not what we expected
While the property was roomy (4 bedrooms) with free parking and excellent security, it sure wasn't what we expected. Nowhere in the description is it mentioned that this is a student housing building. So, of course, we were surprised and a little disappointed to open the apartment door to find we were staying in a dorm. The showers are extremely small. The bathrooms sinks are tiny. The beds are not fully comfortable. It is advertised as a 10 minute walk to city center but Mapquest measures it as a 23 minute walk - definitely too far for some older members of our group. If you choose to stay in student housing, you won't be disappointed. But if you think you're booking a 4 bedroom apartment, you'll likely be let down.

Thank you for your review. We are an apartment complex within 10 minute walk of Eyre Square which is recignised as the heart of Galway city! This is the shopping and restaurant/pubs hub of the city. Perhaps your mapfinder selected Salthill or another area of the city? With regards to our accommodation, we do indeed provide accommodation to Galway university students during the academic year. We also provide the same level of service to our summer residents - such as manned reception and nightly concierge team. We believe this gives guests security in the knowledge that we are always available. I am sorry you found the facilities on the small side, while we cannot change these, we can assure all guests that all apartments are fully fitted with standard size accommodation and all kitchens and rooms are fully fitted and furnished. We are also constantly upgrading our facilities including new bedding throughout this August as well as high tech wifi and charging options for residents. We also have high quality bedding and linen for all guests and provide toiletries and kitchen starter kits. Hope you had a great time in Galway and come back again soon!

Galway stay
We didn’t realize property was a dormitory style apartment. The water had an unusual taste. The sinks and showers are way too small for a normal vacation property.

Hi. Thanks for your review. Though not sure what you meant about the water as no issue was raised during your stay. Shower sizes are domestic standard in all units.

Not as pictures.
The property was nice, secure and clean. However, the pictures online of the living/dining/kitchen area/bathrooms and bedrooms were not accurate of the unit we rented. It is student housing - each bedroom with a self closing and locking door in the unit. There is a desk in each room, 2 small couches, a table for 4 and a basic kitchen in the common area - also with a self closing and locking door. One bedroom had an en-suite, the other 3 bedrooms shared one common bath. The property was quiet and clean, but rated lower based on the inaccuracy of photos presented online.

Thank you for your comments. Though not accurate themselves! Our doors are not self-locking! Only the apartment front door. Self-locking in the bedrooms is deactivated for the summer. Apartment is as listed and photos are of this apartment or similar in the complex - we have 88 apartments in total so individual photos are not possible. It is true that the complex operates as residence for NUIG university students during the academic year. We also provide reception and night staff service throughout your stay, mid-stay cleaning options, lift access throughout and of course 10 minute walk into Eyre Square, the heart of the city.
