"During our recent family trip to Ireland, we had the pleasure of staying in a delightful traditional Irish house in the quaint village of Oughterard, nestled along the serene shores of Lake Corrib. This charming house boasted a beautiful fireplace which became the centerpiece of our evenings, providing a cozy, warm atmosphere that enhanced our experience. Oughterard proved to be a hidden gem, with its lovely town and incredibly welcoming locals who made us feel right at home. Do yourself a favor and do your souvenir shopping at John P. Keogh & Sons Irish Gifts and Crafts! Then have a pint at Powers Thatch and if you are lucky enough to be in town on a Sunday, make sure to get there early for the traditional Irish music. The house itself came equipped with all the comforts necessary for a family, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay. Both the host and the caretaker were exceptionally responsive and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was managed perfectly. We are immensely grateful for their hospitality and the memorable experience they helped create. We eagerly anticipate our return to this beautiful spot in Ireland. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine taste of Irish charm!"
