"The view from the room patio was of a staircase. We booked this early through Hotels.com and still got a room with a horrible view. Besides the view the room was near the breakfast area and many of the guests were loud at 7am. The room itself lacks adequate electrical outlets and has no lamps. The room is not well lit. We understand this place was built in 1937 but there needs to be some efforts to upgrade. The bathtub is dangerously tall to step into. The door lock is worn out and extremely difficult to open with a key. The staff is friendly and on at least two occasions helped us open the door. Breakfast was very good and at checkout we were given a lemon blueberry baked treat. The location is topnotch."

"Gatlinburg location is perfect to walk downtown. Seen momma bear & cubs up the street from hotel -- on the drive Roaring Fork. Hotel room/bed was perfect. Indoor/outdoor dining on the rooftop was perfect. Outdoor 17' TV was perfect to watch Football. Yes, 17 FEET! Firepit has comfy chairs. Too busy to try the heated pool. Stayed 4 nights, would definitely recommend & will stay again!"

"Very nice hotel far away from the main strip that it was quiet at nights but still easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants. BE CAREFUL OF PARKING. The parking lot and garage are very tight. If you bring a larger vehicle, it's probably best to park in the lot next door (which is allowable). Rooms were very clean and beds were comfy. And lovely views, too. We would stay here again."
