"We had a great one-night stay, the building had tons of character and the room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended! "

Cosy, traditional cottage overlooking waterfalls, Gayle, Hawes, Yorkshire Dales.
10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking and the local pubs were good. The host responded quickly to enquiries and was very helpful. A lovely base for a great holiday."
"Very welcoming. Lovely room and smart TV. Breakfast was excellent and opportunity to get 20% off meals and drinks at the neighbouring pub was unexpected. "
"A five star property and staff — some of the best food we’ve ever had traveling, and here it is in the Yorkshire Dales! Friendly, helpful staff to a person, every shift, every position. The historic manor house buildings are beautiful, tastefully updated to allow a glass-walled dining wing that looks out over the rolling green hills. It’s a stunning setting.
The bedroom is the only shortcoming. Peer facilities might offer visitors pillows of various stiffness to accommodate different sleepers’ preferences. Stone House provides two different pillow textures — granite and oak. I exaggerate only a little. They have the hardest, least comfortable pillows of any facility we’ve ever visited. Sleep was rocky, in a word. The mattress is sub-par, and the double bed too small for the price (the room could allow a Queen or King). The bathroom light is a terrible cold white color.
Someone should visit similar places and compare their bedroom facilities to what’s offered at Stone House, and bring those bedrooms up to the superb quality of the dining, staff, and environment. "
"Spacious clean room. Liked the fact that the breakfast choices went beyond a Yorkshire breakfast. English muffin with cream cheese and smoked salmon, baked egg…
Didn’t eat dinner as we felt the menu was a little underwhelming. Staff were friendly."
Quirky Cottage in The Heart Of The Yorkshire Dales. Great reviews. Book early

"Lovely, unusual and quaint cottage in a beautiful area. Well equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Loved the stairs and rooms on different levels but might be difficult for some.
Shops, cafes and pubs right outside the front door.
Great stay in a lovely area.
