The Herald Building is the former printing house for the Glasgow Herald newspaper and has been a landmark building in Glasgow since the 1920s. The building has been completely modernised and hosts a range of modern residential apartments with commercial offices below.



The Merchant City is one of the most vibrant areas in Glasgow and is full of diverse and interesting buildings, cafes and restaurants. It is a preferred location to both professional and artistic residents with a number of small galleries and theatres in the area. It is also home to a number of high end boutique style shops and more famous international labels.



The annual Merchant City Festival and Celtic Connections attract a growing number of visitors each year who enjoy concerts, Scottish Ceilidh dances, comedy events and exhibitions at venues, including the Tron Theatre, the Old Fruitmarket, the Trades Hall, and St. Andrews in the Square.

Great days is Glasgow

Brilliant way to stay in Glasgow for a week. Spacious appartment, underground parking, clean and well equipped kitchen. Nice to have a balcony, too. Would definitely recommend this way to explore and stay in Glasgow.

Amazing time here. The Flat was fantastic for all of us. Very spacious and clean. Merchant city area is a very nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, and grocery needs. Amazing people to have as hosts. We’re happy to have stayed here, and hope to visit again soon. Cheers

Negative comments

Mold on bathtub grout. Dirty shower curtain Noisy flooring wakes people up when someone goes to the bathroom. Lack of privacy and noisy because of loft bedrooms. Wrong address on listing. Good location.

Great apartment in downtown Glasgow

I spent four nights in this great apartment that is conveniently located in central Glasgow. The apartment was clean, roomy and the building was quiet. There is a lot of natural light and the sun warmed the apartment nicely. The owner met us on time and gave us a great overview of the apartment and its amenities. We were an easy walking distance to George Square, Merchant City and even the meeting point for a Rabbies Tour that we had booked. There are many good restaurants a five minute walking distance and the train station is less than a 10 minute walk. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Glasgow for the first time.

Great Location and Space

This was a very nice 2 bedroom rental near the Merchant City area. Right in the middle of many restaurants and pubs that you could walk to. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Queen Street train station which was great for catching trains to Edinburgh and Sterling among other cities. Overall a very good stay.
