Sleep late in the hand-made bed, read a book by the fire, stroll the ancient footpaths in the private fairy woods on the property. Daydream, chill out, laze about, unwind, calm down, breathe easy - it's all possible here.

Your host Victor can point you to places of interest locally and speak to you about the Ballyogan Project on the land which involves others developing a more sustainable lifestyle collaboratively in community. The small native woodland has two pathways you can explore and be intrigued by the hidden fairy doors. We are proud Premier Hosts having welcomed hundreds of visitors here over the past four years.

Great unique and cozy place to stay!
We enjoyed Victor's stone cottage. It was a unique and cozy place to stay and we liked having the large, private patio area for evening drinks. Victor's homemade scones, local jam, and honey were a delicious perk, and his brother Frank was very welcoming during our check-in. The location was near enough to Kilkenny and Waterford to visit for the day, and the town of Graiguenamanagh had an excellent grocery store (Doran's SuperValu). While the kitchen supplies could be upgraded (newer and more pots and pans, a few more glasses, plates, and silverware), we were still able to make meals in the kitchen and did not lack for basic comforts. If you have small children, beware that the plank stairs are steep and there is only a handrail on one side. Both bedrooms are upstairs on either side of the stairs. All in all, would recommend this place!

History, Pubs, Forest walk.... exactly what we wanted
The stone walls made it feel like we had stepped back in time. The pubs in town had an assortment of friendly people. We talked with one couple for over an hour. The river, pubs, and restaurants are all within a 5 minute drive. Victor was very helpful and friendly. This area is gorgeous.

Great start to a honeymoon
We came in and met Frank, Victor's brother, who gave us a quick walk through. He was very lovely. Victor had made us some bread and jam and procured us honey from his beehives. It was all delicious and paired well with the tea he had on hand for guests. The shower was welcome after over 20 hours of travel and the bed even more welcome (My husband has horrible insomnia and actually slept without medication for the first time in years). The next morning as we left to explore the town near by we met Victor. Just as lovely as his brother. In the afternoon my husband and I took a hike on a path on the land. Victor's dog, blue, escorted us down to a magical waterfall. We also got to see a cabin that Victor was building. An amazing start to an amazing honeymoon. We want to come back already! Thank you Victor, for an amazing start!

Fairy House/Trail
This is a lovely rustic home. It was comfortable and cozy. The host was very kind and added several special touches to our stay (e.g., locally sourced honey)! We had a great time at this home and in the nearby town. The fairy trail was fun and would be great for young children that want to explore.
