Very nice little town right on Lake Superior, not far from the Canadian border. Good selection of shops and dining. Unfortunately, we had a health emergency and needed to visit the emergency room in Grand Marais. They were fantastic there, very kind!

Grand Marais is a beautiful and quaint little town in a very scenic area. It's a great place to stay if you are wanting to visit the many state parks in the area or even go to Canada for a day.

Art festival weekend is great. Enjoyed visiting with other family members that were also there.
"What a wonderful place!!! Our family of 4 (13 yrs and 10yrs) loved staying at this resort! So much to do. Free activities along with extra for a bit extra. Had BBQ dinner buffet served by the owner of the resort. Very friendly staff and the lodge we stayed in was very clean. Beach is great for all ages and free kayaks and canoes were the cherry on top. Thank You!!!"
"Friendly staff, decent prices especially for the area and time of year. No good protein choices for breakfast - challenging for a diabetic (but im mostly prepared for that). Enjoyed the back patio and views. We will keep this hotel in mind for future trips."
"Bed was a bit hard for my taste but the pillows were wonderful. Breakfast is a bare minimum. Cereal, toast, bagels, precooked pancakes. Very good deal for the price."
"Perfect location - This VRBO has its own private beach access with direct views of Lake Superior, as well as very close walks to look at the harbor and lighthouse. You also have local restaurants, cafes, gift/clothing shops, and even a brewery in walking distance. Not mention World’s Best Donut is basically your next door neighbor. If you have or haven’t been to Grand Marais, this is a great stay."

"The kids were not impressed when they saw the cabin but as soon as they saw fall river they loved it. The shower situation is not ideal. But for two nights stay it was doable! "
