"A return visit for 4 nights - a uniquely special place to stay. A testament to the endurance of great design (both when built and converted), the uncluttered spaces and functional, high-quality equipment have created a relaxing place to escape and restore. Perfect for creatives and lovers of big skies and nature. The silence and spectacle of the sea and sky are so inspiring and this place delivers direct access to both, even when indoors. Bloom Stays are very efficient and the quality of cleaning was high. The owner Fiona is equally helpful and responsive, much appreciated and we feel so fortunate to be able to share a piece of her creative personal vision. I understand that she has brought to life several other unique utility places on Dungeness, what an amazing talent. We hope to visit each of them in turn, but having spent even 8 nights here in one year, we feel a very close bond with the Coastguard Lookout which will be very hard to beat. Thank you."

"We came at new year. Gull house was warm, cozy and clean, with a well stocked kitchen, games cupboards and lovely Christmas decorations. Location is excellent, with views to sea and over nature reserve. Neighbouring Pilot Inn and fish shop are both well worth a visit. Highly recommended."

"Wow! What a great place to stay! Right on the beach, lovely and secluded which was what we were looking for. Sitting and watching the sun and moon rise with a clear view of the sea! Also a pair of foxes visited a few times. The accommodation was well thought out, comfortable and clean. Loved the binoculars! We didn’t want a tv so we were glad there was just the Mac which we checked a few local things on. We took our dog Daisy and she loved sitting and looking out. Would recommend the Pilot for food and or a drink. Really friendly! Not loads to do which was what we wanted. Lovely walks and views. I would take logs and kindling with you if you’re looking to use the log burner. You can buy local but you’ll need to drive. Will definitely be back!"

"Had a fabulous time exploring the local coastline and all the different sights / tastes that Dungeness Estate has to offer, including fresh fish, the miniature railway and the lighthouse. We also spent time in nearby, beautiful Rye and indulged in some great food there at the Fig, followed by further evening entertainment in the Grapevine Jazz bar, which had a fantastic atmosphere. Rye is also worth a look for the shops too, some lovely places to browse around. A stunning beach walk at Camber was a highlight and the big sky, star gazing from the house was spectacular! we'll be back!"

"We had the most wonderful stay in the Pump House which was even better in real life than in the photos. My son literally exclaimed as we walked in the door that this was the best house he’d ever been in. It was comfortable and luxurious and sitting look out at the shingle and the power station through the floor to ceiling windows is quite magical. It’s a very special place."

"The house was the best we had ever booked. Clean, comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. A very clever layout that gave privacy and quiet to those that wanted it.The weather wasn't particularly good but we managed to get out and about on most days, loved the area of Romney and certainly want to make a return visit at some point in the near future.The choices for places to eat were many and varied. The food was fantastic and plentiful and the venues were full and buzzing.We are certainly going to be making a return trip very soonEaster 2026"
