"Staff are excellent and very friendly. Stayed in the Bond room, was ok but a bit tacky. Bathroom ok but not at the rating of 5 star. Food was quite expensive for what it was. Parking is difficult and fills very quickly Due to layout and way people park."
"Lovely place nice friendly staff and good food. Decor has been done tastefully and in keeping with the age of the building
Recommend to anyone who fancied something not a large chain hotel "

"Stayed with 2 young children and the place was quiet and in a very convenient spot. The breakfast was good with a good continental selection and cereal for the kids, cooked options were great too. Will be staying again when we stay in the area!"
Hall Garth Hotel Darlington, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
10/10 Excellent
"We had a 1 night stay while attending a nearby festival, but wish we'd stayed longer. The most wonderful staff, particularly Mandy on Reception who was super friendly and helpful. 11 out of 10!
In addition, the bed had a very comfortable mattress, the rooms had lovely views, the location was great just off the A1. We had a drink on the terrace in the sunshine and enjoyed everything this hotel had to offer. Recommend!"
"Stayed just the one night but the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Comfy beds, lovely linens and everything worked, even if it's a little worn round the edges in some places (well it is an old place after all!)
Quiet and peaceful location. "
