"What a great hotel! It lies on the outskirts of Reykjavik in a beautiful harbor! It was a great home base after our cruise to see the south! They have just built the addition and it is gorgeous! Lovely appointed rooms, beautiful lobby! The whole hotel is being renovated. Loved the Viking themed restaurant on property, it was great fun! The seaside town is lovely too!"

"On the plus side the hotel is a 5min walk from the airport and someone who is nearer 65 than 64 this was easily accomplishable. On the downside, for the silver surfers the amenities are very high-tech and might be hard to navigate. Also the lack of TV channels available, only internet platforms."

"The hotel is well located in the center of town. The rooms are small and sparsely finished (note: no a/c for those travelling in the summer). Staff are very helpful. The hotel provides a continental breakfastand which is reasonably priced as compared to the local restaurants."

"The room was cleaned. Housekeeping only on request. Room was very basic, nothing like the 4 stars in other countries. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very basic. We had dinner in the restaurant on the day we arrived. It was 9pm, kitchen was about to close and they still served us. We enjoyed the meal."
