"Hotel looks very Viking. The themeing of the hotel and restaurant was excellent. There was a hot spring sitting pool, didn't find the Sauna. The food in Restaurant was excellent as were the staff . The main glitch was check in. And there were a lot of people to check in and only one person on reception. I think due to new building with extra rooms the original reception area is now too small. We had free soup at lunch. And they made us sandwich to take with us as we had early check out to catch flight. It's out of Reykjavik. On the flybus route."

"The Alda Hotel was fantastic! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and someone came by to clean up every day. The hotel breakfast was outstanding- a great way to get ready for a day of adventure!! And the gym and sauna were very nice. We found street parking within a block of the hotel every night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Reykjavik!!"

"Great room. Very clean with nice bathroom. Beds were very comfortable."

"The beds were comfortable and the room was very cleaned. Easy to get a taxi and only a few minutes ride to the church and city center. Room was on the smaller side. The drains in the bathroom took a long time to drain. Notified the front desk and they told us that the drains always worked very slow. We flooded the hallway too! We would stay there again."

"The room was cleaned. Housekeeping only on request. Room was very basic, nothing like the 4 stars in other countries. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very basic. We had dinner in the restaurant on the day we arrived. It was 9pm, kitchen was about to close and they still served us. We enjoyed the meal."
