"The room was beautiful. We even got an upgrade! The bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip. The air conditioner worked wonderfully the room. Service pizza was terrible but everything else was amazing"

"This was such a great find. Clean, nice decor, en-suite bathroom, and air conditioning! It was such a reasonable price too. The common space includes an incredible outdoor patio with sofas. The location was great too. It's only a 6 minute walk to the tram and we walked home from the Anne Frank House in 45 minutes. I will definitely stay here again."

"I loved the staff and the cleanliness of this hotel. The location was perfect for exploring and the hotel bar was good without being over the top expensive. The only negative is that we were supposed to get 20% off food and beverage once per stay through Expedia. However they should tell you it’s not redeemable in the restaurant. Only the bar or Illys coffee shop. We left it until the last morning and couldn’t use it. The coffee shop and bar were closed. Anyway just a heads up.
We had a very enjoyable stay though. They got us in the room early as we arrived at 10:00 in the morning and were very jet lagged.
I would most definitely recommend to anyone !"
"The best part about the Fritz is the location. Right across the street from Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh and short walk to metro, trams, and canals.
The room itself was fine, we got the city view and could see right out to the street and museums. It’s small and cozy but we didn’t mind. AC worked well and kept the room cool. Not allowed to open the window but the view was still nice.
There is an elevator but it’s extremely slow and was out of order a portion of our stay. Wasn’t a deal breaker as we preferred the stairs (very narrow in Amsterdam) but worth mentioning.
The reception is only open 8am-6pm. We were able to check in with no issues before 6pm and they have WhatsApp for any questions after hours which they responded promptly.
Overall I would recommend if you plan on visiting the museums and are looking for a solid budget option."
"I really enjoyed my stay at Avani Amsterdam. This is my fourth time in Amsterdam but my first stay at this particular property, and it did not disappoint; the location is exceptionally convenient, and the quality of the space matched it.
A special mention goes to Mark, who handled our check-in. At one point, I needed to call a restaurant to change a booking due to a last-minute shift in plans, and I was having trouble getting through. Mark stepped in to help my family and me sort it out. That kind of willingness to go the extra mile means a lot, especially for guests who don’t speak Dutch.
Overall, this was easily one of the best experiences I’ve had across my visits to Amsterdam. I would highly recommend Avani Amsterdam to anyone visiting the city — whether for business or leisure. I’ll certainly be back on my next trip!"
"Beautiful property. Some of the nicest employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with at a hotel. Amazing amenities, the restaurant at the sister hotel connected was so very good. Very cool and sexy vibe, really loved it. Bought the surprise package for my sisters birthday and they did us perfect, it was so special. They even gave her a free upgraded room. It was just the perfect place, nice area and quieter than other spots in Amsterdam but still so centrally located to all the public transport. Such a special place. If I ever come back to Amsterdam I will not look anywhere else but this hotel to book."
"We arrive extremely early and was just looking for them to hold our luggage but they were actually able to get us into a room. We were so grateful. It was a wonderful stay with a beautiful location. Extremely close to shopping."
