"Amazing breakfast! "

"Upon arrival the receptionist was very blunt/rude and not welcoming at all. Made a big fuss about parking my van around the back (like I did with no issue during my last stay) and said I should have contacted the hotel before, which I did with no reply. When I showed her the message she just shrugged it off and said we don’t check bookings made through a third party - but was very happy to take the £600 payment off me!"

"Room spotless, bottle of cold water and fresh milk in fridge a bonus. Staff all friendly and helpful even carried out bags up the steep stairs. Although over a pub no problem with noise. Able to park car in their car park and leave it for the whole of our stay. Did not have breakfast as visiting family very close by so went there each morning. Very convenient for bus into town"

"An hour before check in time, i messaged Vrbo, as i had not received any check in details. Vrbo said i should contact the host directly and not to worry . So i messaged the host and she told me she had been on vacation and the house was already booked by someone else. So, we were stranded with our family and there were no rooms available anywhere, unless we paid at least 3 times what we had already paid out. We were there to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. Vrbo offered us the guarantee refund but that is of little help when there's nowhere else suitable to stay. "
