A Hiker's Paradise Private Cabin on Small, Rushing Stream Near A/T-

10% DISCOUNT ON NIGHTLY RATE FOR 7 NIGHTS OR MORE! Hiking enthusiast! This is a private two story cabin with a loud, rushing stream and not a soul in sight. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind, or if you like, start or end your hike. Less than two miles by car to Dick's Creek A/T access. If you would rather...you can take an easy 2 mile hike down the private National Forest Road in front of the cabin and then go approximately an additional 1 mile moderate hike which will bring you to Tom Cowart Gap on the A/T. Not a hiker, well just take a quiet stroll through the park like setting along the tree canopied path with 200 ft of rushing stream bordered by National Forest along the back of property. Complete seclusion! There is a fire pit, swing and benches there for your enjoyment. It's the perfect place to just sit and relax. With two porches and an upstairs screened balcony, you never have to leave the comfort of the cabin to enjoy the sights and sounds of the stream below. The three upstairs bedrooms (one with it's own private, screened balcony) each have queen beds for your comfort. All are equipped with ceiling fans, alarm /sound machines. The cabin has two full baths (one upstairs and a smaller full bath downstairs). There is a large family room with a glass fronted wood stove and large screen Smart TV with Roku device and a separate living area with TV off the dining area. Wifi, Direct TV and telephone with free long distance are also included. The cabin has a rec /laundry room with a TV with Roku or for videos or video games (you must bring) and plenty of games and puzzles for those rainy days or family night.
If you just need a home base, this is the perfect place. The cabin is centrally located to many of North Georgia's prime locations....The Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds (approx. 9 miles,) Lake Chatuge and Lake Burton (approx. 7 miles). Clayton, Blairsville, and Helen are all within 20 miles of the cabin. Hightower Winery is 1/2 mile away, A/T trail head 1 1/2 to 2 miles by car. Completely furnished with everything you'll need to enjoy the quiet seclusion of this mountain retreat. Come stay a week or a long weekend...you will never want to leave.

Absolutely Magical!

Can’t say enough about this place! Great location. Everything you can need in the kitchen. The playroom was perfect for game nights. And the creek. Can’t say enough about the creek! Our whole family spent hours in the creek collecting beautiful rocks and splashing around. We could have spent a month here! If there was a place we would ever return - this would be it! Thanks for a wonderful week. It went by way too fast!

Our second stay

This was our second time and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Our kids love to play in the creek and explore. It is very relaxing and quiet and clean…perfect for a relaxing getaway. One afternoon we got home and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called Nancy and she has someone out to fix it within a couple of hours. She is always welcoming and very responsive.

Absolutely Incredible

We stayed here for the outside of the property which was absolutely beautiful. The inside was cozy! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and wish that we could have stayed longer. We will certainly be back.

Another wonderful trip

Nancy is a kind owner that communicates well and when needed. The home is extremely well kept, and stocked. The cleaners do an amazing job, and everything is fresh and new when you arrive. The property is beautiful and we spent hours exploring the trails and sitting by the creek.

Hiawassee Hiker's Paradise

Peaceful, excellent location

We just loved our stay here! The location was great, secluded but not far from town. We absolutely loved playing in the creek and the canopy of the trees. Great place for the kids, as they loved playing in the creek and having the ‘game room’ to themselves to hangout. Owner was very nice and responsive, would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful get-a-way week!

We have a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary week with lots of different hiking options in the local area and a beautiful setting to just relax, read and enjoy and sound of the stream rushing by while sitting on the deck. This place is wonderful if you are looking for a secluded place without being too remote. Can't wait to come back soon!

Loved the rushing stream and cute home in the woods. Secluded Home was clean and beautifully decorated. Screened porch off the master bedroom was a great touch—listening to the birds and the rushing stream.

Amazing family retreat. We already want to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in northern Georgia. Nestled next to a peaceful creek and surrounded by nature, it was the perfect retreat for our family. The location is ideal—close to stunning state parks and waterfalls, making it easy to explore the wilderness. If you’re looking for great food, nearby Clayton and Helen have fantastic dining options.That said, some of our favorite moments were simply spent at the house—relaxing on the porch, listening to the creek, birds, and rustling leaves. It was pure tranquility, especially sharing those quiet moments with our 6- and 2-year-old daughters. Whether you’re up for adventure or just want to unwind, this home is a gem. The house is extremely well-kept. We’re so happy that the owner Nancy is willing to share her second home with us. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely home! Enjoyed the babbling stream, peaceful setting, amenities of the home and great secluded location! The home has everything you need and provides pure comfort. Fabulous porches to enjoy nature, close by trails, wineries and outdoor excursions. This was our 2nd visit there.

Comfort for Hikers

The house was comfortable and attractive. The porches particularly got a lot of use. Loved that you could hear the water in the creek from the house. We found a different hiking trail every day and appreciated coming back to our 'home'.

Magical place

We were a family of 6 (gramma, kids and grandkids) The property was awesome, gorgeous place , everything was truly perfect . The cabin had anything you needed, the kids enjoyed so much the play room it was their space , we adults also enjoyed it playing family games after a day full Of adventures hiking trails. The creek was beautiful we all enjoyed by the pit while the kids swimming. It was truly a paradise in the mountains. I will be back

Almost heaven

The house comfortably accommodated my wife and 3 children under 5 for the past week. But the real jewel of our week was the beautiful property that the house is on. Everything from the hiking around the house to the beautiful creek that is a short walk away from the house and you can hear from the porches, this was the most amazing week we have had as a family! We cannot wait to go back!

Great family long weekend get away

This was as advertised and better. The sound of the rushing mountain creek was easily heard from the cabin. That, along with the wooded surroundings made this a very relaxing and peaceful visit. Dealing with the owner was a top notch experience. She even called us after we checked in to make sure everything was ok. The only downside was, we eventually had to leave, but we certainly plan to be back as soon as possible.

Experience Back To Nature

We enjoy staying in the woods and this spot takes the cake! Ms. Nancy was always available during our stay for all of our questions. She was the best host to stay with, always sweet and patient. We loved the location, the stream was a perfect place to have a picnic. Walking the property there is a butterfly garden that is perfect. Seeing all of the butterflies and hummingbirds made our stay an oasis. The kitchen was fully stocked of everything we could ever need! We loved this spot so much we were able to stay longer. We will definetly be back very soon.

Amazing Vacation For My Family!

I wanted to thank Nancy for such an awesome experience! My family and I had so much fun! We have never been to this property before, and we were definitely not disappointed! We even extended our stay towards the end! We really LOVED the secludedness of this cabin. The kids 3 and 5 really enjoyed this! We were able to explore around the cabin by walking around ( and even met a potbelly pig who we named Wilbur)! We met the neighbor and he was extremely nice! When you visit this rental please please please drive a little and visit The Great Smokey Mountains! It was a trip we will always remember! Thanks again Nancy!
