"Lovely quiet village, ideal location near London and Brighton. We enjoyed the bistro below for a few drinks ( we would recommend booking a table prior if you want to order food) , we also visited the new Inn up the road which was homely and friendly "
"We like this hotel, staffs were very friendly and good hospitality. Good free parking there, feeling safe and we can get bus to Brighton town just opposite from this hotel bus stop. "

"The room was small, but comfortable and clean, the bathroom was perfectly adequate. The staff were inobtrusive and very accommodating and the location was peaceful. Parking wasn't a problem and I would love to stay here again."
"Travelled from Lancashire on the Friday and stayed until the Monday we were received with a welcome despite arriving late shown to our rooms which were very basic but comfortable. Only criticism no one replenished anything whilst we were there including toilet roll teabags et cetera however I’m sure if we have asked we would’ve got them.
Breakfast was phenomenal lots of choice cooked to perfection to order plenty of juice, cereals, fresh fruit, and yoghurt.
Stuff very friendly and welcoming. It is a little noisy if you wish to leave your windows open bearing in mind you can hear the noise from the beer garden but we weren’t particularly upset by this but other travellers may find this annoying.
I would recommend staying here as it is very comfortable, friendly and food, gorgeous.
We came for Brighton pride although it’s not near we were able to get Ubers on the bus on the Sunday from across the road.

"We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! "
"Lovely hotel, nice friendly staff. The room was beautiful. In stunning condition and fitted out to a high standard. I will definitely be staying again."
"Difficulty in finding property. Needs sign at entrance. Very dangerous exiting drive onto lane. Needs a mirror opposite to show lane both ways. Lodge and rooms very small. Trip switch overloads if you use kettle and use cooker same time. However, my tel contact and personal contact with the gentleman owner was very convivial. "
"Thank you for an amazing stay, very comfortable bed, all clean and quiet, just what we needed.
great breakfast was served directly to our cabin.
highly recommended. "
