"We loved our stay here. I booked based solely on reviews which sometimes doesn’t always hold true…but this time it did. this is a self check in hotel. It’s compact one thing I missed was that there is no air conditioning and it was a heat wave in the 70’s when we were there, but we weren’t in the room that much and I had traveled with a mini fan so it worked out OK. Is connected to an excellent bakery where we enjoyed coffee and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The location was good for us. It wasn’t a very difficult walk to get to rainbow Road."

"The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is 20 minutes walk from the Harpa concert hall and much closer to the main shops. The FossHotel is well located. (On a map it's close to the Hofdi) It's a huge hotel and very busy at breakfast as several groups/tours will be getting ready to get out at the same time. Bus stop 12 for tour pickup is right outside (a good thing) but several tour buses turn up around 9.15 and chaos ensues! This is not the fault of FossHotel and if you're relaxed about it it's quite entertaining. We would happily stay there again."
