Tucked up on hill, in an old neighborhood of Hubbell, Michigan, once the host of the smelting and milling portion of the Keweenaw copper industry, lies the Trailside by Backwoods Ventures Trailside Getaway Vrbo house. Moriah Goodall and family have done amazing job with property. The old house is renovated with all the modern features that any traveler would love. Each room is beautiful and has its own character and charm. The radiant bathrooms have new fixtures and hardware. The kitchen contains modern appliances. The floors, furniture, walls, and furniture are polished and clean. Moriah adds a warm touch by providing abundant towels and toiletries in the bathroom, as well as coffee, tea, and other staples in the bright kitchen for the weary lodger. Our only complaint was somewhat limited hot water due to an insulation issue. But, with adjustment in shower and dishwasher schedules, everyone was able to have a hot shower. For us, celebrating our son's graduation from Michigan Tech, the Vrbo house was a great place to return to after a day of activities. Plus, we got to sample some of the Mom and Pop restaurants in the town.We recommend Trailside by Backwoods Ventures fully to anyone wanting to visit the Keweenaw Peninsula.
