Noblesville home

It was a nice place to stay, clean house, the yard could use some cleaning, the water could use some filtration, other than that it was a nice stay.

Staying for a baseball tournament

We stayed here for a baseball tournament at Grand Park. The last game we had was 5 minutes away which was nice. The property was good. Probably my two main complaints. 1) The water was terrible and 2) it had a funky smell the house. The smell was almost like it was a old dog kennel. Other than that the property was clean. Had all the requirements we needed. Conveniently located to grocery stores.

Water Issues

Huge water issue!

Positivity first! Property manger was extremely responsive/helpful at fixing the solvable issues during our stay. Pictures of the house were accurate and beds were comfortable. Great walking trail next door. We were given a partial refund bc of the issues. There is a terrible water issue. There is definitely a high level of “metal” in the water. The bathtub/shower were both rust color orange which got darker as the week went on. We did shower and dealt with the smell of it during and in our hair. We were unable to drink the water or use it in the coffee maker (that was so dirty my Mom had to soak/clean with vinegar & Dawn) We spent a lot of money on gallons/bottles of water for the week. Dishwasher was gross. Hand washed all dishes & spent $ on paper products. We were there for a baseball tournament and a washer/dryer were a must have. Unable to use the washer for fear of turning everything rust orange and the drum was stained orange. There was a fruit fly issue when we arrived. The first morning we woke up to mouse droppings in a cup in the sink as well as on the counter and under the sink. Fruit fly traps, mouse traps and air fresheners (a strong musty smell when we arrived) were quickly delivered to us from the management team. I do wonder if those issues along w/ the cobwebs and dead bugs were bc the house hadn’t been rented in a while and no one bothered to do a quick check/clean before our arrival. Do not stay here until the water is fixed!!!

Horribly managed property

So many issues. We did not get the check in email with entry details until 9:37 on the evening of check in. Multiple calls to the management company that day and in preceeding days went unanswered. Not sure we'd have gotten in had we not contacted VRBO customer support to help us. The exterior windows were very dirty. No plug ins for most of the nightstand lamps, including both in the master bedroom (cords just left to lay on the floor). Master bedroom ensuite had no window curtain despite looking straight onto the neighbouring driveway. NO hot water in the master ensuite shower so all 7 of us had to share 1 shower! Several bath towels were stained and 1 had large holes. Tap water smelled like rust and stained the tea towel yellow. A filter system would dramatically improve this. The back yard looked unkempt (to be kind), mostly a gravel and dirt pad. NOTHING about this property indicated the "charm" the description claims. This is my 1st bad experience with a VRBO property (and VRBO support were the only helpful service to us for this stay, thank you) but I will NEVER again stay at a property managed by this group. Absolutely unacceptable customer service for a property which is supposed to be available 365 days/yr. I'd encourage VRBO to drop the listing and others managed by this group

Very close to town. Only about 40 minutes to downtown. Brand new grocery store only 2 minutes away.

Appreciative

The beginning of the stay started out ROUGH!! I won’t bash on the Home Base team due to the fact they took care of us and made things right. Very appreciative of them for going the extra mile. Only issue I would say was the initial communication. There could be and there always is, room for improvement in that department. The home has a cool layout and would be a great place to stay. Would recommend the property and would book it again.
