About this property

✨ Lake Compound | Sauna-Hot Tub-Steam Shower-Cold Plunge

  • THE TRUE NORTH presents… ✨ Châteauneuf-du-Lac Louise | A Private Luxury Resort on 12 Acres

A private lake shared with just nine homes. 203 feet of your own shoreline. Sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge. Twelve acres, 34 minutes from Traverse City.

    The Space

Welcome to Châteauneuf-du-Lac Louise, a private twelve-acre lake compound in Interlochen. The 2026-renovated main house offers five bedrooms and three and a half baths, complemented by a separate bunkhouse with seven bunk beds, its own full kitchen and bath — six bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and room for 22 guests in total across 4,500 square feet. The property is framed by state land and sits on a private, no-wake lake shared with just nine other homes, with 203 feet of uninterrupted shoreline.

    Getting Here

13 min → Interlochen Golf Course
14 min → Interlochen Center for the Arts
22 min → Crystal Mountain Resort
34 min → Downtown Traverse City
34 min → Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
36 min → Cherry Capital Airport (TVC)

Close to hiking, biking, and snowmobile trails. Many guests never leave the property at all.

    A Private Wellness Retreat

At the heart of the estate is a wellness complex rarely found in a private vacation home: a digital keypad sauna, hot tub, and Blue Cube cold plunge, plus two steam showers and heated bathroom floors throughout. Three full-body massage chairs sit in a lower-level lounge, where guests slip into one of 16 complimentary robes before or after their soak. Built-in deck heaters keep the outdoor spa area comfortable through the winter, so the hot tub and sauna stay in use even as snow falls across the frozen lake.

    A Private Entertainment Complex

The upper-level Game Room is the year-round social hub: four TVs, a full bar, a poker table, snooker, foosball, dart board, shuffleboard, an arcade console, and a margarita machine, plus an extensive board game collection for quieter nights. The bunkhouse adds ten more TVs of its own — plenty of room for the group to split off and reconvene.

    Your Own Private Lake

Unlike the area's busier resort lakes, this is a peaceful, no-wake environment shared with only nine neighboring homes. Paddle out on one of two paddleboats or two kayaks, swim from one of several floating platforms, or fish from the shoreline. On land, fourteen bikes and a basketball court keep things moving, and seven sets of snowshoes extend the season into winter. Deer and wild turkey are regular visitors, and in the colder months it's not unusual to watch a family of deer cross the frozen lake at dusk.

Built for Big Groups — Any Season

Summer means mornings on the deck and afternoons on the water. Autumn turns the surrounding state land into a wall of color. Spring brings the lake back to life with wildlife and greenery. But winter is where this property really sets itself apart: heated decks, a sauna and cold plunge you can use in the snow, seven sets of snowshoes, and a frozen lake that turns the whole 12 acres into a private winter retreat — no drive to a resort required.

    Work From the Lake

With 4,500 square feet, fast WiFi, and a dedicated workspace, Châteauneuf-du-Lac Louise also works well for small corporate retreats — the Game Room and Wellness Complex give a team room to unwind between sessions, and the property comfortably splits between focused work and downtime without anyone feeling on top of each other.

    Make It Even More Special

Beyond the stay itself, guests can add:
    Private chef or in-home massage
    Personal trainer or wine tasting
    Event planning or photography
Grocery delivery and pre-arrival fridge stocking

Ask about availability when you inquire. True North guests also receive a complimentary bottle of Chateau Chantal sparkling wine and gym access at Iron House Gym, plus local partner discounts at Chateau Chantal Winery, Paddle TC, Legacy Boat Rentals, and several nearby restaurants and shops.

    House Rules
    Minimum booking age 30.
No parties or events without prior approval.
    No smoking indoors.
    Pets not allowed.
Quiet enjoyment expected of all guests.

Beautiful property! The home is so thoughtfully set up and stocked as well. Just a heads up if you or any of your group have a hard time with technology, may be a bit of a challenge as everything from the lights to the blinds to the toilets and showers operate a bit unconventionally. All very cool though, and there are instructions posted everywhere. The property management company that handled the stay was very responsive but information was sometimes off or incomplete, at times felt like AI or something. Had to ask 4 or 5 times for entry codes and WiFi. Kept sending a link to a website they built for our stay, but all the info on the site just said “reach out for codes, password, instructions etc”. Overall a wonderful escape, we would stay again.
