This was by far in all my travels to the UK (this was my 4th) the nicest, most comfortable, best all around hotel I stayed at. Staff was so incredibly friendly! Food was delicious (we had three breakfasts and one dinner there). In three nights I got hooked on the heated towel rack and now I’m looking to get one for home!

Lovely historical building (1870s) still in excellent repair, very nice room. Wonderful grounds to wander around. Pull the curtains AND the shades because the light still comes in. Very good meal in the hotel restaurant, excellent sourdough bread. Restaurant waitstaff was young and still in training. We received excellent advice on where we could do laundry in town.

This is one of the best hotels I have been, the staff is so kind and friendly, even Molly the cute owners dog. They care about every little detail, breakfast is amazing and you have a variety of options. If you are not driving they can arrange a taxi for you (it is no expensive). I would definetly recommend this place and will come back for sure.
