Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel

"Breakfast was lovely and staff helpful and kind. Swimming pools lovely, nice game room for the kids, grounds are beautiful. View is amazing but location of our room wasn’t the best, we were at the back of the hotel and our room looked out at fire escape, smoking area for staff and bottom floor room which had an outside area, the people smoked and staff late at night and early morning so as it was warm the windows were open and the. Room stunk of smoke, myself and daughter being asthmatic it wasn’t a nice experience as had to use inhalers and also downstairs guests were outside on phone till gone midnight on loud speaker and so very difficult to get to sleep and then staff arrived from 5.30/6 were loud talking outside the window and smoking. Might be best to ask for a room towards the front of building, layout of toilet and shower very strange, not enough room to sit down as you would head but the glass shower screen. Would return but would try for a different room. Dinner was very expensive and all mains are the same price but not a lot of options. Other than this would go back again."

"We LOVED our stay at the Granary!We loved roaming through the grounds, paddling in the stream, swinging on the swing, playing on the trampoline and picking blackberries with our 4 year old son. My son and I really enjoyed sleeping in the Romany caravan - he slept on the bottom bunk and I slept above him. I'm 5 foot 5 and it suited me perfectly - if you're much taller, you'll need to sleep diagonally, or in the granary! A most excellent touch is that I could sit and eat my breakfast inside and watch my son bouncing on the trampoline through the window. Wonderfully well equipped kitchen. Great shower - there was a slight issue at first, but Rebecca sorted it out straight away. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Recommend!"

"Great location right near the loft down to the beach (£1 return). The views are amazing and rooms modern and feel recently refurbished. We stayed in room 103 with balcony and side sea view. The shower was hot and plentiful with tea making facilities and iron with board. We had a great stay Thank for helping with cases"

"Overlooking the sea. Our room was clean and tidy. Fresh. The bar was great. The whole place was amazing value. The most amazing thing was the staff. Harry and his mate on reception, the lady at the bar , the chap doing breakfast and the lovely young woman at reception. Couldn’t have been more helpful. They let me put my bike in storage. All great"

"Stayed here for a week. Got back today!! The garden is a magical dreamland!! We watched red squirrels every night play in the big oaks over our heads. Ate BBQ and drank local beer. Would absolutely recommend this property. Added bonus of air conditioning!!!! Which we didnt see advertised. Go here its lush"
