Beautiful place

This was one of the highlights of our whole trip. Beautiful Mountain View and sunrise was amazing from our bed. The host was awesome. I would definitely recommend staying here. I wished we could’ve stayed longer.

great break away

Much needed break in a quiet location. Accommodation was inviting and warm, close to the mountains, very serene and peaceful. A short drive to Kaikoura township, and enjoyed experiencing different eateries, the walks and chatting to locals. Thank you so much Indigo.

Beautiful place to stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hapuku. The house was thoughtfully presented to guests and we were warmly welcomed by our host. We would love to stay here again and have no reservations in recommending it to other travellers

It was the most serene place. The views were impeccable. Indy was the perfect host. Her charm was equal to the charm of the atmosphere she created. Every detail was placed in every corner to make you feel at home. It was the best get away place to unwind, get close to nature and learn to slow down and love life. It was far enough away to feel like you were away from everything but close enough to Kaikoura to enjoy all of its splendor as well. Love, love, loved every minute of our stay.

Relaxed and peaceful, amazing outlook

While it is a short drive from the main Kaikoura town, this is a lovely place to stay, with amazing views of the mountains and sea. Indy welcomed us when we arrived and is a super friendly host. Once she introduced us to property she left us to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. The property was warm and cosy for us when we arrived, and we will definitely stay again if ever back in Kaikoura. Thank you.

Perfect overnight stay!

The property was very nice and had a wonderful view of both the mountains and the ocean. There were some lovely nice touches like homemade yoghurt for breakfast. Was perfect for a short stay!

Outstanding property, place and people.

Partner and myself; one night with good weather before and after although a chilly morning the second day. Delightful stay with everything except a full kitchen. Day bed/futon could easily host more and/or a child or children. Well stocked with continental breakfast items and basics; even homemade yogurt provided for the first night. Multiple coffee options for any schedule. Nearby plenty to do. Clean, tidy, sealife-themed everything. Amazing shower and general toilet/sink etc. Very good lighting everywhere. Very private and isolated from the main house/structure. As a couple, upstairs loft bed was a real treat and large bay windows let the sunrise in for a brilliant morning glow on everything. Seamless, flexible check-in and check-out. Guestbook easily found and pen provided.
