Kairakau Hideaway close to beach!

Kairakau Beach, fifty minutes from Hastings, thirty-five minutes to local shops and twenty minutes to the country pub. This is the ultimate getaway. Small sandy beach, suited to families, with a stunning backdrop of rocky hills. The community tennis court, estuary, and safe streets make it perfect for kids to do their own thing. Bring the boat and fishing rods. Plenty of native bush to encourage bird song and a sense of getting away from it all.

This Place is amazing. We loved it here. The beach is just a short walk. The Batch is warm, clean, and comfortable. The view of the rock face/hill behind you is mesmerizing. I am a huge fan of the Monarch Butterfly and the garden is full of them.

Lovely homely batch kept us nice and dry and warm during some horrible weather. Everything we needed and we enjoyed having a very easy to use fireplace! Lorraine was very quick to reply to any questions I had. Would love to go back when the weather is better to enjoy the beach.

A very warm host with family that have been connected to Kairakau forever. There is the story of the connection to the beach that goes back well over a century.The bach is a traditional bach, but large for a bach and very comfortable. Peaceful, backing onto bush and a high ridge. Wonderful beach.

Great Long Weekend

Even with crazy winds for a couple of days, there was plenty to do at the bach. Once the wind was gone, just a quick walk to the beach, great place!

This was the ideal location to get away from the hustle and bustle. It was lovely to take winter walks on the beach then come home to a comfy fire with a good book and a glass of something nice!
