I also appreciated the flyers of local activities. Communication was excellent and very prompt…an added touch of hospitality. Neighbors were friendly and well accommodating while we were unloading. And York is a lovely city."

"A great find. Very modern , clean and warm and a fantastic location for exploring York. The hot water is fantastic. The apartment has everything you need. There is a Morrisons around the corner and an abundance of other shops close by, plus a selection of local pubs. There is a bus stop, just around the corner where the number 1 bus takes under 15 minutes direct to the centre of York. We bought a first bus weekly ticket which saves you money if like us you were travelling in every day. We never...

"Excellent base to visit York. A pleasant 30 minute walk along the river into York. Property was very clean and warm. Owner very attentive. Kindly left milk, tea, coffee and biscuits which we were grateful for. "

"This was a lovely cottage for our Christmas break, perfect for 2 adults and a dog. Maintained to a high standard and catered for all our needs. We'd like to return in Spring/Summer to further explore the area. Owners were very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. "A fabulous property very quirky. Hosts left a fabulous hamper of goodies. Had a lovely Christmas tree & decorations. The only downside was as it was new year & obviously busy none of us had a wink of sleep for 3 nights! The noise of revellers until 4.30am then the beer delivery, the road sweeper at 5am & the bin men but other than that a lovely place"

"Great place for a short stay. Clean & good facilities bit of confusion over payment…. Thought paid up front but hotel said not… so this is main reason for 4 not 5. Also close to late night pubs/ clubs…. So if you’re wanting to go to see early… probably not the place for you as the music can be quite loud. However, not an issue for us & slept really well. Ultimately good value for money & would stay again."
