The Lake Hotel Killarney

"I cannot say enough, good things about the lake hotel! From the minute, you walk in the front desk… Catherine greeted us with a smile and was helpful every step of the way. Our room was spectacular… I would highly recommend the Lakeview room… Request the upper floor floors, we had 338. It was amazing! Daria gave us helpful tips on driving the ring of Kerry and also to dingle We had dinner both nights in the pub. The staff was pleasant and helpful… Alex, the bartender was particularly entertaining, and we enjoyed his company. The food in the pub was spectacular… I don’t know how it could’ve been any better in the restaurant. But I would highly recommend just popping into the pub and try some of the appetizers. We were able to walk the property… Until the rain started… And enjoyed watching dear wander in the mornings I would recommend spending at least two nights at this location just so you can absorb everything. The property has to offer. Truly a beautiful location the rooms were appointed with everything we needed… Great linens, a lovely shower and extra pillows! My husband mentioned to the concierge that it was my birthday, and Catherine had goodies delivered to our room while we were at dinner, such a beautiful touch! 10 stars !!!!"

"A centrally located B&B/inn in Kenmare with large, clean rooms, a comfy bed, and a large bath. The included breakfast is good as well. However there were two knocks for me. One, the shower was warm but not hot. And two, and this is my fault, these are rooms above a pub, and on a Saturday night in prime tourist season with live music playing till near midnight, and street noise as well, I did not get a good night’s sleep. I knew that was a risk but there were few options in town booking last minute as I did. If you want a quiet stay, then this may not be the place for you even though the rooms themselves are great. But if you are going to be in the pub yourself listening to that live music til midnight then this is great, you just to make it back upstairs afterwards. "
