"Villa Liberty is a truly special place to stay, combining spectacular scenery, traditional Cretan charm and exceptional hospitality.Nestled above the village of Drimiskos, the villa enjoys breathtaking views across Crete's dramatic southern coastline. From the pool and outdoor seating areas, the sunsets are unforgettable, creating a wonderful sense of space, seclusion and freedom. Behind the villa, views of the village add a real connection to local life.A fantastic traditional taverna is just a 10-minute walk away, serving freshly prepared local dishes and, on occasion, live Cretan music, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.The villa itself is beautifully decorated, blending traditional character with thoughtful vintage touches throughout. It feels spacious and comfortable and was perfect for the two of us. It is very well equipped and includes thoughtful extras such as olive oil and raki made by the hosts.The outdoor area offers both sunny and shaded seating. During our stay we experienced storms and heavy rain, but the covered outdoor space provided the perfect place to sit and enjoy the dramatic changing views.What truly sets Villa Liberty apart is the hospitality of Eleftheria. We arrived to a delicious home-cooked meal and were later treated to homemade cake. The pool was regularly maintained and the villa was also cleaned during our stay, adding an extra sense of being well looked after.We will definately return."

"Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, haben jeden Tag kleine Snacks vom Vermieter bekommen.Das Haus war sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht.Zwei Tavernen sind fußläufig zu erreichen, ebenso wie ein Supermarkt und eine Bäckerei.Der Pool ist natürlich ein super Goodie. Das Haus ist aber auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen.Danke, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!"

"This villa is a real gem. Absolute world class one of a kind experience. Peaceful, beautiful mountain views from a modern, private and well thought out house. The location was perfect and central. Only 20 minute drive from all of the pristine beaches around Plakias and 20 minute drive from Rethymno for shops and city life while enjoying Crete’s mountain vistas and nature. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool. Supermarkets and Spilli are just a short drive away. We had it all! The host was very helpful and kind. Highly recommended."

"Die Lage im Bergdorf Mariou ist wunderschön und sehr ruhig. Besonders der fantastische Blick ins Tal und auf das Meer hat uns begeistert. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Der Vermieter war jederzeit freundlich, herzlich und gut erreichbar. Zur Begrüßung standen Gebäck, Getränke und Lebensmittel bereit, und während unseres Aufenthalts wurden wir zusätzlich mit Wein und frischen Eiern überrascht. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub. Bei unserer Ankunft war die Unterkunft leider nicht so gründlich gereinigt, wie wir es erwartet hätten. Auch der Pool machte zunächst keinen besonders gepflegten Eindruck und hätte während unseres Aufenthalts deutlich häufiger gereinigt werden können. Die in der Buchung angegebenen Wechselintervalle für Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden nicht immer eingehalten. Statt der angekündigten drei Tage über das Buchungsportal wurde bei der Ankunft ein Wechsel alle vier Tage vereinbart, was für uns in Ordnung war. Teilweise wurden daraus jedoch auch fünf Tage. Beim Bettwäschewechsel war das für uns allerdings kein großes Problem, da wir ohnehin nur einen einzigen Wechsel während unseres Aufenthalts gewünscht hatten. In der Nachbarschaft gibt es derzeit einige Baustellen, die teilweise deutlich zu hören sind, die uns persönlich jedoch nicht gestört haben. Mit etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit bei Sauberkeit und Poolpflege könnte die Unterkunft aus unserer Sicht problemlos 5 Sterne erreichen."
