"Charming hotel, ideally situated by the Abbey. Choice of lounges to sit in the evening, loved the decor. It was drizzling so we couldn’t use the outdoor space.
Enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant and full English breakfast next morning. All staff so friendly and welcoming. Loved the stories of the local area involving pigs, emus and tigers!"
"Super convenient for Highgrove Gardens. Staff friendly….especially the young men working behind the bar.
Comfortable single rooms with full facilities and parking for all."

"We had a lovely one night stay in the cottage. Great for self catering and enjoyed having stables outside where we could see the horses. Lots of space and a nice log fire to enjoy. The breakfast was delivered to the cottage at our chosen time and was really tasty. "

"Good food in the garden, nice to see the rooms ( or the one I dad) had been renovated. It's a great place and I stay about 6 times a year, some of the rooms were looking and feeling tired so fingers crossed they are now spending some money on the place. Service and food always been spot on."
"The property is in a good location for getting into the town, which has a thriving social scene, and lots of good places to eat. There are also a good range of pubs, and the locals are very friendly. There are plenty of walks with stunning scenery, and the history trail is very interestingThe property itself lacked finesse. The decor was tired and needed freshening up (chipped paintwork), musty and damp smelling, and a stiff front door requiring a strong arm to open/closeA nice touch would have been a welcome pack of basic essentials i.e. milk, bread or a packet of biccies and a guest book for comments. We left a day earlier than booked. In my opinion, not as stunning as anticipated!"
"We stayed for business and booked on the basis that it was easy to reach from the M4 and we could eat and have an early night as we had an early start the following morning. Your website clearly shows a bar and restaurant, but the owner informed us on arrival that both were now permanently closed. This meant finding another place to eat and a few mile drive, not what we wanted having driven for 4 hours that day. The owner was great, but is in the process of trying to sell the property due to personal circumstances, so it has the feel of being run at minimum level. But we were offered a cooked breakfast that was great."
