"The room was good and spacious. The front desk staff and maintenance staff was pleasant and helpful. Noted the hotel has only been in operation for a few weeks, so there’s room for improvement. Couple of things to note - the sewage appeared to be blocked so every time we returned to the hotel, the water was murky, the toilet seat cover was broken, housekeeping did not refill shower gel and we had to remind them every day, there were no tea options (mint, herbal etc.) for the room. "Second stay this year, and again could not be more impressed with the accommodation, staff, and housekeeping. Truly a gem that rivals the boutique hotels in Europe we’ve stayed — keep it up. "
"We had a great one night stay at the ArtHouse. We appreciated the staff’s effort to get us two rooms across the hall from each other (perfect for our family of four). Rooms were decent size for NY and lobby was cozy and welcoming. "
"Room was very comfortable, very clean. Door handle to the bathroom needs repair or replaced. Housekeeping staff was spectacular, front desk was very dismissive, no personality to be at a front desk of a hotel, doorman or gentleman watching the front area with the front desk staff not very personable either . I have worked customer service for many years along including front desk at a hotel and never have I experienced the lack of friendliness from a staff at a hotel. Housekeeping and maintenance had way better customer care than the lady checking us in. "
"Hotel Belleclaire exceeded my expectations in every way. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and enjoyable. Communication from the valet was excellent—my car was picked up and delivered right on time, with total ease and great flow. The front desk staff was welcoming, warm, and genuinely friendly, which made check-in a pleasure.
I absolutely loved the room. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and truly felt like New York luxury—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bar was cozy and inviting, and the mocktails were surprisingly excellent.
Overall, this was a 10/10 stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Belleclaire to anyone visiting NYC and wanting to stay on the Upper West side. "
