Property was neat! Close walking distance to many things, clean, basic kitchen, comfortable beds. Check in was NOT smooth, but this was an expedia issue.

This property is in a great location, but it is very awkward lay out. The shower door doesn't close so you barely can fit in it. The property is not suitable for someone who has mobility issues. The bed takes up the whole room so you can't get off the side of the bed. The bathroom has no counter space or towel rack and is very small. Very important to know, you can't drop luggage off early so you are stuck with it until 4:00 pm. I made this last minute, so I didn't have many choices.

Honest review - couple tips
We could not get in. Door closed. No e-mailed instructions how to get key. Wrong contact phone number. We were standing in the rain not knowing what to do until very nice cleaning lady let us in into hallway. Bad organization. The street extremely hard to find - even for taxi driver. Extremely small shower (60 cm x 60 cm). Hard to move even for a v. small person. A lot of stairs going up. Otherwise clean and ok bed.

Some communication problems, but lovely apartment
The property sent us information on the day of arrival about our arrival, but as it went through Hotels.com, it only arrived in my inbox after 18h30 the evening, hours after our arrival, and being unable to reach anyone I was also quite disappointed that the cleaning fee was charged separately, as it made the accommodation much more expensive than originally planned for. The place is trendy, and modern. No issues with staying there, and the guy that helped us was very friendly and sweet.

Great find!
The staff was very attentive and the apartment had a beautiful view of the river. The neighborhood was beautiful, had a local feel, and was perfect for a four-day trip to Lisbon. I would highly recommend this place!

Studio apartment near Alfama, Lisbon.
The location was excellent, and the studio apartment was very clean. It was quiet at night, but the layout of the property presented privacy concerns. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen, and I personally know several people who could not have fit into (or moved once inside) the shower stall - it was about 2 feet square, but the entry was closer to 18 inches. The sink was similarly tiny.

Great experience, lovely neighbourhood
Staying with Villa Santa Marinha was one of the best decisions I made. I had a terrible experience with an Airbnb and decided to book a studio. The cleanliness and vibe that I get from this place is one in which I felt that I was staying at a mini resort/hotel. My only regret is not having had the foresight to have booked it for far longer as the studio that I stayed in was absolutely fantastic. TV, fridge, Wi-Fi, and a comfortable bed is something that all will appreciate. The neighbourhood itself also was nice and quiet whilst being nearby a metro station. Nevertheless, these are some of my critiques: I had to wait 30 minutes past check in for the key to be handed to be. I wasn't promptly informed that I'd have to wait with my luggage outside the scorching heat for the host the show up past the agreed-upon time. Also, the room wasn't clean when I arrived. I had to wait for the cleaning lady to clean the room on top of having to wait 30 minutes for the key to be handed over to me.

Estudio superior com vista linda do Tejo
Fiquei no estúdio superior, com um bela vista para o tejo, bem no alto da Alfama, bairro muito pitoresco. O tamanho é bom, confortável, cozinha com os itens necessarios, limpeza semanal com troca de roupas de cama e banho. Checkin e checkout remotos. Valeu o custo-beneficio. Mas fica o alerta de que nem todos as unidades tem vista.

Great value for money in Alfama
In the heart of Alfama, newly refurbished and great value for money. Stayed with two kids 4 and 9 and it worked out fine. :) The place is kind of hard to find - go to Largo de Santa Marinha and go downhill R. de Olivieirinha, and you will find it on your left hand side.

Dejlig ferielejlighed i fantastisk område
Super hyggeligt område, søde værter der gav gode tips til steder at besøge. Værelset var helt i top og super rent. Det eneste, vi var negativt overrasket over, var det ekstra 30€ rengøringsgebyr, som vi skulle betale, samt et 100€ depositum (som vi dog fik tilbagebetalt). Rengøringsgebyret bør være inkluderet i prisen.

Good 3-star apartment on top of a hill
Vila Sta Marinha is located in central Lisbon on top of a hill. We found the location charming and the apartment was nice and tidy. But I would not recommend this to someone who can not easily walk up and down the hills. The service was excellent, we dropped off our bags early in the morning to the Guesthouse of the same hotel chain and did the check in there. Our bags were transported to the apartment for the afternoon, when we met the manager there. He was very helpful with everything and available by phone and Whatsapp all the time. he also got us the airport taxi for 4 am. The Vila Sta Marinha was ok with two kids, but I think it would be the better for couples. Good experience anyway in a 3-star apartment.

Apartament był absolutnie niezgodny z opisem z rezerwacji. Nie otrzymałam oddzielnej sypialni i pokoju dziennego tylko jeden maleńki pokój z przezroczystą kabiną prysznicowa, w której było WC, umywalka i prysznic. Absolutny brak intymności. Sofa dla dwóch osób - jednoosobowa. Brak kuchenki mikrofalowej, suszarki do włosów, pod sufitem dwa maleńkie okienka, bardzo wolny internet. Czas oczekiwania na klucz – pomimo podania dokładnej godziny przyjazdu, 40 min na ulicy i w deszczu. Sprzątanie apartamentu polega tylko na wymianie ręczników.

Il s'agit d'une cave transformée en studette, avec une fenêtre vasistas accessible avec un escabeau et donnant sur un escalier avec vue plongeante depuis celui ci sur le lit!!! Les toilettes sont dans une douche minuscule fermée par une vitre transparente donc une superbe vue depuis le lit sur la personne assise sur le trône ! Très mauvaise expérience Nous avons été déçu de l’état de la chambre chambre extrêmement petite toilette Dans la cabine de douche s’il vous vous avez besoin de faire vos besoins et que juste après vous prenez votre douche vous avez des mauvaises odeurs qui ressortent évacuation de douche bouché mauvaise organisation de l’hote nous sommes arrivés à 20h À l’arrivée il n’y avait personne je n’ai eu aucun appel de l’autre pour savoir à quelle heure on arrivé nous avons essayé de l’appeler à maintes et maintes reprises ont tombé sur le répondeur la chance que nous avons eu c’est que j’ai appuyer sur l’interphone il y avait des personnes qui venait à peine de prendre leur appartement ils m’ont donné le numéro de téléphone de la personne qui devait nous remettre les clés au résultat nous sommes rentrés dans la chambre à 21h30 si il n’y avait pas eu ses nous serions restés à la rue toute la nuit car il n’y avait aucun moyen de joindre la personne ensuite il nous demande une taxe de tourisme de séjour ce qui est tout à fait normal de 12€ Nous n’avions pas là. On lui a donné 15 € plus une caution de 100 € en liquide résultat il nous a rendu nos 100 € mais il nous a pas rendu les trois euros c’est-à-dire qu’il a encaissé 15 € au lieu de 12 € de taxe De tourisme Ce qui est pour moi pas professionnel est pas raison raisonnable donc jeudi je tiens à exprimer ma colère et mon mécontentement chambre mal isolé Et qui sent l’humidité et le renfermé
