The location was central. The man on the desk as we were leaving this morning was very helpful. We did not hear in advance about the subway strike. He helped us get a cab that got us to Heathrow on time.

comfy but too hot

the hotel was great and the room was super comfortable and clean. it felt too hot though from the moment i walked in as alot of the radiators were turned up too high

I would never book on that hotel again, the service horrible. noisy, and not clear at all. back home with some infection on my eyes. now I have swallow left eye probably from bed.

As hotel rooms go, this was the tiniest I'd ever been in. More comparable to guest houses / private rooms in hostels, but priced decidedly above that range. Not enough value for money.

The location is great to the subway station. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast options were good. Lots of stairs to climb which was difficult for my mother. Would prefer better air conditioning options- the fan in our room was not enough for when it was really hot. Would also like a common space to hang out that is not the general office.

Got unfortunately a room on the ground floor just outside a renovation project within the hotel and also where the personal had a stairway where the stood and talked early in the morning without thinking of if anybody was sleeping in the room beside. The room was very responsive and you also saw the light trough the door into the room from the stairway outside. Beside this I was satisfied and a very helpful reception

Small and old but cozy and well-done

Not a luxury hotel, one of those where a huge number of rooms are carved out of an old Georgian building, so no elevator, fridge, or microwave, rooms are small, and if you want a good price, you share a bathroom. Complying with fire codes has made it a very rabbit-warreny experience, as every few feet there is a fire door (good). OK, now that that's out of the way: The place was clean. The staff was very friendly. Probably the best continental bf I have ever had, with fruit, freshly cut cucumbers and tomatoes, 6 types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, and several types of bread. The gluten free options included bread and cereal and a toaster labeled for GF use only. :) Oat and soy milk available for the lactose intolerant. Well-decorated; my room had posters of local interest, and the halls were all wonderful theatrical posters, excellently hung. Room cozy, with a fast-acting kettle and with tea, instant coffee provided. Waterstone's across the street! Close to Goodge St. Tube stop. Would stay again.

Budget hotels can be better than this

I’ll never stay here again. I know you get what you pay for, and this was cheap, but it wasn’t comfortable. I knew the room would be small but it was really tired and outdated. At least I had en-suite, many rooms don’t. Bathroom fittings were broken but the shower was ok. The room had a small patio but it wasn’t useable as it was very dirty and had a cable across the doorway that was a major trip hazard. The big problem for me was the inability to sleep. It was raining hard outside and the rain on the feet of the plastic fencing was incredibly loud. At about 1am I was out in the pouring rain trying to cover up the plastic to dampen the noise. The room was too hot. The radiator in the room wasn’t adjustable and was permanently on. I could open the door in daytime but at night it was just too hot. Breakfast was adequate. Continental only. But to finish breakfast at 9am at weekends is really outdated. 10am should be the minimum.

You get what you pay for with the rooms. They need a bit sprucing up and the beds needs updating. Besides that, rooms were very clean and came with everything you need for the weekend. The TV with Netflix was a godsend for a tired child at the end of the day! Transport links are near the hotel are great! Theres multiple underground stations only a few minute walks away that take you right up the landmarks, the west end etc in minutes. Hotel was quiet and even outside was silent at night which i found surprising as we stayed the weekend all the new uni students moved in down the street. Not a sound and I had the window open. The shared bathroom is extremely clean and semsbto be restocked and cleaned down frquently. The breakfast was lovely, its was my family's favourite part of the stay! Staff let us leave our bags after we checked out as well so we could explore London more before our coach came. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The only thing that made me uncomfortable with this hotel was that while we were out the maids had let themselves into our room too refill the teas, coffee and biscuits without our knowledge. We didn't leave the hanger on the door asking them to do so. We found that they had folded all our belongings up and tided all our clothes into our suitcases. This may seem nice but, to us it felt like an invasion of privacy. We had left alot of our belongings out.

Het personeel was super behulpzaam en vriendelijk! Het ontbijt was naar mijn maatstaven niet zo. Brood was wat droog en oogde niet vers. Koffie was vaak snel koud.
