While the staff were nice, we were greeted with some hostility as our payment method hadnt gone through on the online booking, however noone from the hotel had attempted to contact us regarding this, so we were unaware this would be a problem as we could pay on arrival according to the website we booked on. We were made to feel as though our booking was at risk because of the payment "issue" and having travelled from up north we were worried we would not be able to find anywhere to stay on short notice. However the situation quickly changed to be that the room wasnt ready because they were too busy (check out is 11 and check in is 3pm so plenty of cleaning time for such a tiny establishment). It felt like an excuse for being behind on cleaning and the blame was conveniently pushed onto us due to the payment method. Very small room, no working lamps, no working tv, terrible water pressure in showers and taps, incredibly hot and no lift available. Staff were friendly though, which is the only saving grace.

It was fine for one night and room was quiet and clean. The only complaint was no refreshments in the room, it is shared with the guest, via a kettle, paper cups and basic refreshments in the reception area
