Ridiculously tiny room, tiny double bed, extremely hot and air conditioning didn’t work - at one point it started blowing out even hotter air despite being set to 16 degrees. Struggled to sleep all night as a result. Informed reception who said they’d get somebody from building maintenance to look at it. When we returned from our day out we were told it had been done, upon checking though it was still the same. So we asked to move rooms which was granted. We were moved to another room which was supposedly an upgrade. This room was only slightly bigger and the aircon wasn’t working in this room either?! The control unit had a flashing spanner sign. We informed reception again and we’re told it could be fixed. Upon returning later that evening the aircon was still in the same state. When going to check out th next morning, a lady in the lift with us commented that it was the worst hotel she’d ever stayed in and when we mentioned our air con troubles, both her and her children, who stayed in another room, said their aircon had also been non functional. I will just mention that the one receptionist who delay with us was very polite and apologetic and tried to be as helpful as possible, the other receptionist we spoke to was extremely rude and ignorant ans dismissive of you as you approached the reception desk. For our last night in London, we moved to a Travelodge which was half the price of the Corus hotel and the room was ten times better! Including the size. Terrible hotel
