Staff were really helpful, after we were allocated a room, which was much too far away, as both my wife and I are disabled, I spoke to the lady on reception, and it was no trouble for her to reallocate us a room, much closer to the reception.
Grand building, but my room was disgraceful. The room had no heating control, and the radiator was set to full output (TRV was broken). So, the room was excessively hot - 27deg or more, which meant that I opened the windows and curtains all night long. On the Lower ground floor this is not idea and to make it worse I could hear the large mechanical plant working all night, waking me up at 5am. Which then, I needed to use the toilet. Only to find the toilet cistern had no water and therefore, I had to sit in a hot, stinking room until 6.30am until I could get out of that hell hole. Never ever again.
Clean rooms staff friendly facilities very good well worth a visit .
