Hidden gem! I would def recommend this hotel, a few mins walk from Shepherd’s Bush and right next to 02 empire for any gigs. Lots of choices of food in Westfield and lots of shopping

Though reception and the common areas look quite appealing, the rooms are like something you would see in a youth hostel at best. We had requested 2 rooms close to each other as our kids were staying in a separate room, but were given rooms on the 2nd and 5th floor, I asked if we could at least be on the same floor, but were bluntly told the hotel was full and this wasn’t possible. I explained this to my husband so it was audible to staff and went to the first room where we received a call to say they did have a room available on that floor. Both rooms were in a poor state of decor and didn’t feel clean (see photos). On our final morning, housekeeping tried to enter our room twice without knocking while we were still in bed. The staff weren’t that friendly and if I hadn’t paid for this hotel in full prior to arriving I would definitely have gone somewhere else.

Staying at the Dorsett Shepherds Bush, overall, my experience was positive, marked by excellent service, especially from the morning staff who were attentive and helpful during breakfast time. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with comfortable rooms and great amenities. And I have to say it was great getting to have a free drink after a day of travelling. However, there were a few issues concerning accessibility and staff interaction that I feel need to be addressed. Firstly, during check-in, the receptionist did not make eye contact with me and directed questions to my companions instead. This was uncomfortable and made me feel overlooked, perhaps due to being in a wheelchair. We also were given the fire safety to sign but we're not told any information neither did we know where we had to go in the morning for breakfast. In the accessible room, while spacious and well-appointed, there were notable oversights: the absence of an emergency cord, a rather low-set toilet, and no shelves or suitable places to put a toiletry bag. These small details impacted the convenience and safety of the room for someone with mobility needs. Despite these issues, the positives of the hotel, including the cleanliness, overall ambiance and particularly the friendly morning staff, made my stay enjoyable. I hope the hotel takes note of these points to improve the experience for all guests, regardless of their mobility.

I was at a room at the back which was a disability accessibility purpose room because they had no normal Dorsett rooms left, i had booked the room 1 month before i arrived. The view from the window was of someones back garden filled with rubbish. not good

I'm 5ft 2 and my feet hung off the bed and I couldn't stand under the shower. The bed was so uncomfortable .This was a second bedroom as the first room we asked to change as it had a glass screen between the bathroom and the bedroom and as sharing with a friend was in appropriate to watch them whilst they were showering. Room also smelt of damp. Everything including room price with Expedia has additional service charge added when arriving at the property and added without discussion to opt out. No English Breakfast tea in hotel room just green tea. Decor was nice just an odd hotel.. Not really catering for the British tourist which is a shame as it could be a fantastic hotel centrally placed to everything.

Welcome was poor. They kept trying to push me to an accessible room, which wasn’t what I booked or needed. In the end they sent me to the bar to wait… but the bar was closed, so I waited for nearly two hours without a drink of any sort. They never came to say my room was ready and when I went back to check in, it was as though I’d just arrived. Concierge was good at drop off of bags, but disorganised on collection. A couple of cleanliness issues too. Anyway, a decent enough hotel, limited facilities (no parking, bar that opens at 5 pm and no other means of having so much as a glass of water). A service charge is unusually, and automatically added to your bill, perhaps that is why service levels are lower than expected? It’s not that it’s a terrible hotel, but with so much choice in London, there are better places with better service for your money.

On arrival at check in the person that completed check in tried to suggest that I had booked a king room when I had not, I had booked a twin room. He stated that there was only a disabled room available which was a king room and he asked did I mind having that room as they were fully booked so no twin rooms were available. I had to get my booking confirmation out to prove to him what I had booked and then magically a twin room was available. Strange that!
