Was very pleased with or stay we arrived early and were greeted by Stephen. He explained that our room wasn't ready but showed us where we could leave our bags and advised us to come back in an hour. When we returned our room was ready it was spacious and clean with a double bed and a single. The bed was really comfortable we didn't hear a sound all night and had a very comfortable rest.
I stayed in room 112 which was at the basement and adjacent to the pub next doors bins, so was woke up out my sleep every 2 hours by the empty bottles being emptied, had to ask for the heating to be turned on as I could see my breathe. After 4 hours the one small radiator was barely warm
Hotel was nice location was good, the staff was really lovely only complaint I have is I went away for a quiet weekend and instead I hardly got any sleep because of the noise of music it was so loud you think it was in the room you where staying.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside; a minor (possibly unfair) qiibble . I wish hotels could have alternative tog rating quilts within rooms, say stored in a cupboard. I find that the thickness of quilts in summer ofter keeps awake due to their warmth. However, the experience as a whole was positive / fine.

Easy, relatively cheap stay, suitable for most stays however A.C. should definitely be a consideration as rooms can get VERY warm.

Meh
Staff were nice. Room was very noisy (and I can usually sleep anywhere) and for £80 per night I’d expect an air conditioned room. Beds clean but overall pretty dated decor.
Travel lodge seem to have the winning formula for hotels. This hotel was central, the rooms were functional and comfortable and the price was right. It is not a luxury hotel but your aren't paying luxury prices either. Their beds are very comfortable. I would defiantly stay with them again

Parking in car park 2 nites £20 breakfast a bit disappointed no fruit salads and yogurts.
On the whole I thought it mediocre for price charged ithe decor is dated.

Disliked: Amenities
It was a bit over priced for the conditions of the hotel with no breakfast. The location was good. I wouldn't stay here again.
Clean and well located to visit the town bla-bla-bla

Needs modernising
Although clean and comfortable this hotel is let down by out dated furniture. The sink in the bathroom was cracked, and the furniture a little shabby.
On the upside the staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful.
Good location, front desk staff person was excellent. However, condition of hotel itself was very disappointing. Overpowering smell of air freshener in hallways, our room was spacious but wreaked - smelled like cooked cabbage and potatoes. The bathroom definitely required some attention - heavily scratched sink and poorly patched tub. Tired hotel badly in need of an upgrade.

The hidden costs were extortionate
The hidden costs were extortionate. I have stayed in a range of different hotels with my dog so I am used to paying a small hidden cost when checking usually for the extra cleaning.
This cost is usually around £4 -£12. So when they asked that I pay £20 (for 1 night) I was a little annoyed. “Yes this is ridiculously expensive for one night, just think if you stayed for 5nights you would still only pay £20” how is this of any use to me?! I was staying for one!!
This cost is usually for the ‘deep cleaning of the room’ though! I don’t think the room I stayed in had been deep cleaned in a long time; sitting at the desk from across the room you can see a outline of dust on the carpet going right around the bed
If you’re going to charge mega money for one night with a pet, at least make sure you use that money to do the things you say you use it for.
Thanks Travelodge
I will definitely remember this and look much harder for a different hotel before considering using your company again.

The front desk staff was ok. Breakfast is not included which was fine. Parking was not provided but we were instructed to park across the street in a parking area. The parking fee/rate is relatively cheap tho.
There is a really strong smell in the hallways which my wife did not like. Kind of like a strong perfume smell... The bathroom and general cleanliness of the room are just OK. Don't expect a lot from staying here.
I somehow expected a lot more since it was a chain hotel brand but was left happy checking out first thing in the morning.
