"Definitely a slightly outdated hotel but overall a nice place. My friends didn’t like their room but our room was fine. Staff were super friendly and they’re updating the hotel a bit. Lounge area is really nice and quiet with wine hour. They just opened a restaurant on the day we checked out unfortunately but looks super nice! They are definitely updating. Hoping they update the rooms and elevators. Only one elevator was working but it did end up getting fixed. Overall place was decent and...

"Very good location, close to Downtown Manhattan, subway stations, groceries, friendly staff. The area is at the border of Little Italy/Chinatown and the less prestigious Alphabet city so you will definitely see substance abusers and trash. Good thing the closest subway station is only 5 min walk. Enjoy!"

"Loved the location of this hotel. The stay was good. I had fun interactions with the staff about the Sixers and the Knicks, I wore my Sixers gear when I checked in. Good people work at the front. The room we stayed in I thought could have been a bit cozier. The hardwood floor made it seem a bit cold and stiff. But regardless I would come back if I need to stay in the area. Loved the rooftop lounge. The view and sunset was AMAZING. I also wanted to note that I took my brother here for his...

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive...

"Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."
