"I lived in NYC for 5 years and travel to this wonderful city 4-6x a year. This has been the best hotel I've stayed at for so many reasons. Location!!! A couple of blocks away from SoHo, Bowery, LES and Nolita. Shopping, restaurants, bars, parks, bodegas, grocery stores were literally steps away. Amazing lounge bar, great restaurant, beautiful rooftop view, lockers for your luggage, clean and decent size rooms, great Customer Service. Anything Ian Schrager touches is pure gold.⭐️"

"Definitely a slightly outdated hotel but overall a nice place. My friends didn’t like their room but our room was fine. Staff were super friendly and they’re updating the hotel a bit. Lounge area is really nice and quiet with wine hour. They just opened a restaurant on the day we checked out unfortunately but looks super nice! They are definitely updating. "Loved the location of this hotel. The stay was good. I had fun interactions with the staff about the Sixers and the Knicks, I wore my Sixers gear when I checked in. Good people work at the front. The room we stayed in I thought could have been a bit cozier. The hardwood floor made it seem a bit cold and stiff. But regardless I would come back if I need to stay in the area. "Very good location, close to Downtown Manhattan, subway stations, groceries, friendly staff. The area is at the border of Little Italy/Chinatown and the less prestigious Alphabet city so you will definitely see substance abusers and trash. Good thing the closest subway station is only 5 min walk. Enjoy!"

"Good 2 night stay. Ok facilities, Clean (we had a minor issue which was solved). Very comfy beds. Breakfast options were extremly limited. Amanda at front desk was helpful. "

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive...

"Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."
