"We stayed in the most basic room on the property, which was very clean and stylish, very well priced especially considering it's in the middle of World Cup and Knicks playoffs Etc. Bedding was comfy, shower small but great water pressure and good quality toilet products. But the "money shot" here is the hotel itself: the lobby is an incredible throwback to the 1910s, amazing tile work, the little cafe is a delightful amenity (free espresso!), and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I cannot imagine a better located New York City hotel, 50 yards away from the West 4th Street subway stop which takes you pretty much everywhere, and less than 50 yards from Washington Square Park, one of the greatest urban parks in America. Gives one exactly what one should want out of a New York Hotel room: great location, great common spaces, clean and comfy room for sleeping after a day of hitting it hard in one of the world's greatest cities. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Very clean and affordable, nice staff in a great location. The rooms are tiny and the corridors narrow, plus sharing bathrooms isn’t for everyone. But if you want to stay in one of Manhattan’s best neighborhoods for cheap, and just need a twin bed to sleep on, it’s an unusual but terrific option."
