The hotel’s location could not be better — right in the heart of Sarlat, just steps away from the charming medieval streets, lively markets, and great restaurants. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere of the hotel, with its elegant decor and spa facilities, made it the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne region. Both Sarlat and the surrounding area are simply magnificent — full of history, amazing food, and stunning scenery. We truly loved our time here and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended!"

"The property is a charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely as well, though it was a bit chilly to use it. We enjoyed sitting beside it. Our room was well appointed though cosy. People who enjoy a spacious room would want to specify that when booking. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner."

"Sarlat is a beautiful city, and La Villa des Consuls is an equally beautiful hotel. It has everything: wonderful/helpful staff, brilliant location, excellent service, and great breakfast. Staying at La Villa des Consuls made our visit to Sarlat and the surrounding area memorable. "

"Excellent small hotel right in the middle of the charming town of Sarlat. Literally two dozen restaurants, many of them excellent, within a 10-minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend. Two things to note, without detracting from the above: street parking is metered during the day, and the optional parking garage spot (5-minute walk) must be reserved in advance and costs extra; and there is no laundry service (there's a laundromat not very far)."

"Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the IBIS Sarlat. The staff went out of their way to make you feel really welcome and were incredibly helpful making suggestions on places to visit to make your stay memorable. When there was a problem with the TV, in the room, the staff did their utmost to repair it. When they realised they would have to call someone in, to solve the problem, they immediately arranged a move to a much larger room and helped transfer clothing/other possessions. They were like breath of fresh air and are a credit to the hotel chain. The room was also exceptionally clean which was a real treat to see. If only other hotels were like this. The other great thing is the hotel is located directly opposite from one of the better restaurants, in the town, and is only a 10 min stroll to the medieval town centre which is beautiful to walk around. "
