Gaze up at the dome and spire sprouting from the 19th-century St. Marylebone Parish Church. The village of Marylebone was initially built around the first incarnation of the church, which was constructed in the 1400s. Admire the white columns and large pediment of the current church.

Specialist shops sell a great range of items, including beautifully made musical instruments. Note that despite its spelling, the name of the high street is usually pronounced by locals as “Mahly-bone.” The street has a rich history and was popular with music enthusiasts in the 18th century who visited the former Marylebone Gardens venue. Such composers as George Frideric Handel performed at this arena.
Marylebone High Street runs north to south from the southern end of Regent’s Park for about 1,600 feet (500 meters). It is parallel to the western Baker Street in northwest London. Take the London Underground to the stations of Regent’s Park, Baker Street or Bond Street to get here.
