This was only the second place we've stayed in here in NZ that actually had screens on the windows! (and the first place was our friends' private home). And many other thoughtful features about our room, like two suitcase racks, not just one. The accomodations were spacious, spotlessly clean, and with lovely amenities. Also spacious public space, made it easy to enjoy conversation with the other couple who were there that evening (though we could have kept to ourselves w/o any pressure). The setting is beautiful, quiet, views over the surrounding countryside. Our hosts were delightful, generous and helpful. Tea or coffee when we arrived! Breakfast was included, and was delicious with lots of options. When we arrived we were tired, and not looking forward to going out for dinner, so our host offered a platter of cold cuts, veggies, and other things, with cheese and crackers after. Even though we had not made prior arrangements with her for that. Her husband also has furnishings he has made, very creative, see guybucchi.com. They have a lot of returning guests. They may be returning to Provence soon, so try and visit before then!

Beautiful rural setting with great views of the North Island country side. Linda is a wonderful hostess and it was fun to see Guy’s exquisite handmade furniture.

Pastoral country setting

Nice rural setting, but opportunity for dinner was a drive away and nothing in the immediate area to do. Very friendly hosts, enjoyed their home style company.

Wonderful home stay

The place has amazing view. The room was nicely decorated and clean and comfortable. The hosts were so warm and friendly. The meals were delicious and plentiful. More so the vegetables were home grown and the food was mostly home made or home made. We enjoyed so much staying at the place.

A fabulous B & B

What a wonderful spot to stay halfway between Kaitaia and Auckland. Our room was very comfortable with quality linen. Linda and Guy were such friendly hosts and Linda made us a delicious home cooked dinner. Felt very welcomed in their lovely home with fabulous views. Their hospitality was the best.

Awesome BnB not to be missed

Lovely BnB with a French flavour! Room was bright and cozy. Decided to stay in for supper which was wonderful, breakfast was delish. Best of all was getting to know the owners, what a great couple, so welcoming and friendly! Very peaceful location

Great Place to Stay

Lynda and Guy were wonderful hosts. If you are exploring the Kauri Coast, it is in a great location near the Kauri Museum. Room was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and had very nice bed linens. It’s a little off the beaten path, but we highly recommend this lovely BnB.

Skøn overset B&B på nordøen

Den bedste overnatning på vores ferie, mens vi var på nordøen. De forstår begrebet “hygge” uden at være danske. Vi benyttede os af deres skønne tilbud om aftensmad. Det kan klart anbefales.

A lovely place in the middle of nature reminds of

La Petite Provence lies lovely on a hill with a stunning view. It is nicely done up and nothing is missing. We were especially pleased about the warm hospitality of Linda and Guy who have set up a wonderful place for staying in this lovely countryside. In the evening Linda prepared for us a delicious cold platter and tomato gazpacho with vegetables form the own garden. We really felt at home. Again many thanks.

Entirely sympathetic bnb with a French flavour.

A treasure at the end of a 500m gravel track. 10 minutes off the NZ 12 Highway and the fascinating Kauri Museum at Matapohe. Totally quiet.

Small B&B in lovely surroundings

Lovely hosts, Guy & Linda. The are three rooms. We were, at the end of summer, the only guests. So we got the room with bathroom. If you need a fridge you can get space in the fridge of the hosts.
