"The front desk staff and staff at breakfast were polite, friendly and helpful. Check in was fast and easy. My room including large screen TV was very clean and spacious. It was an excellent stay. Thank you."

"The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was spacious, bright, airy and clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The amenities were basic but I had everything I needed, including a much needed fan as it was a hot day! The hotel itself is nothing special, the decor is a little run down and in need of a paint job in some areas. My bathroom had rust in the bath and the finish was needing some tlc. The front entrance to the hotel clearly had a no smoking sign which was ignored as it had a strong smell of cigarettes which was not a good first impression. I’m not a fan of self check in at a hotel- it’s not nice to arrive and find the reception unmanned. I did call for assistance which came quickly however and the member of staff was very helpful. It was pretty average place and ok if you just need to stay for a night."

"A well equipped and comfortable property with every need carefully provided. The welcoming pack was excellent as were the provisions for our dog who came with us. The property is remote but the local village is just a few minutes drive away, just suited us to perfection. We had a few days that were very frosty and cold outside but the central heating kept every room inside warm and cosy. An ideal family holiday home."

"The Glass room is peaceful, spacious and so beautifully furnished, I don't think we have ever slept in such a comfortable bed, including our own! The location was perfect for us, visiting Flatford Mill, the Beth Chatto gardens and a little further afield, RHS Hyde Hall. It also gave us easy access to visit family in Ipswich. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay."
