"The Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel was an excellent choice for our first visit to Istanbul. It is within walking distance of many of the major sites to see--the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and many hammams. In addition, there are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby. However, this is a very touristy area, with high-pressure hawks inviting you to come into their shop or restaurant, and we found this to be very tiring. It was a good location for our first visit, but if we were coming back, we would choose a hotel in a different area to get a more authentic experience. The hotel itself was wonderful, with a stunning view of the Hagia Sofia from the patio, and excellent service."
"I've visited Istanbul many times, but this was my first time staying outside the busy city center — and it turned out to be a great decision. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient: just minutes away from the main attractions, yet far enough to avoid the gridlocked traffic of the city. The hotel itself is truly state-of-the-art, from the beautifully designed rooms to the excellent amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly — I can honestly say they felt more like friends by the end of our stay. This will absolutely be my first choice next time I visit Istanbul"
"Good location! Near everything! Walking distance to KADIKOY shops & ferries!
Fabulous Turkish style BUFFET BREAKFAST!
Amazing & helpful staff! Especially HILAL & ERSIN!
We were leaving at 3am so would miss breakfast, so they prepared and offered us fruit juice boxes and sandwiches to take with us. So thoughtful!
Great a/c & good sized bathroom & comfy beds. It does need a little renovation - but that wasn’t important to us! Super pleased and looking forward to staying here again in the future!"
"We stayed recently here and were happy overall with our stay.
Pool was great …closed at 8pm…not too crowded …
Breakfast was good overall…lots of breads and traditional Turkish breakfast…omelettes made to order …service was really good and were all friendly …
I would like to thank two individuals particularly who made our stay comfortable …Joseph and I can’t for life of me remember the other guy at reception (had salt pepper hair) were very friendly …
Location is about 15 minute walk to main sites which has some uphill walking to do …lots of stores and travel agencies on the way to the main sites
Good hot water and pressure …ac was good …spacious room "
"The staff was professional and friendly. The hotel is clean and well ventilated, our AC worked really well. We got a spacious "three adults" size room as advertised. I really like that they always had water bottles when you ask at the front desk so we all stayed hydrated all the time."
"Fantastic staff. Great hospitality. Their breakfast was excellent. Located in a historic neighborhood. 6 to 8 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Lots of dinning and shopping options around. We were in Istanbul for just 3 days and couldn't have asked for a better location for a short trip."
