Royal Whitby

"Stayed in an updated family room. Very nicely presented, clean and well stocked with teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Beautiful high ceiling and perfect room for our son to sleep in. Bunk beds were sturdy...always a worry when travelling with a large teenager! Bedding fresh and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and out did some of the more well known hotel brands, so much choice and all fresh. The views are brilliant and there is a lot of spaces in the hotel, games room, cafe, bar and restaurant. Little seating areas to take a drink into and relax. We found the walk to our room a bit far, with lots of steps as one of us has mobility issues but we managed. Already looking to return next year!"

"We stayed to there last year and it is perfect for us. Waking up in the morning and looking out to sea and watching the sunset in the evening is just heaven. My wife and I were with our daughter, her son and his wife their two children. There is plenty of space, and a lovely kitchen/dining room The complimentary bottle of wine, coffee and cookies were a nice touch. My wife enjoyed the art books, just like last year. Sam Falle"
Mulgrave Country Cottage

"We arrived late on a Friday evening but were welcomed straight away. Shown straight to our rooms with an explanation of where the bathroom was, that we had a private entrance, and how breakfast worked. The room was very spacious almost and was almost like us having our own little apartment minus the kitchen facilities. Breakfast was nice and your pre ordered the cooked option, it the night before. Cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt was also available. The grounds were lovely and my daughter loved the tree swing. So much character to the house too which makes it a lovely stay. We will definitely stay again when we visit the east coast."
