## Emplacement
Capital of Narbonne Gaul, residence of the Visigoth kings and archiepiscopal city, the 2,500 year old city of Art and History of Narbonne has a rich heritage. In the heart of the historic center, two buildings, classified as Historic Monument, must be visited: the Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur cathedral and the Archbishops' Palace. Afterwards, there is nothing like a coffee break on one of the terraces of the lively Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, before continuing your journey in the direction of the Canal de la Robine and its charming Promenade des Barques, where you will have the opportunity to take a ride on an electric boat. As for museums, Narbonne is also well endowed, with its archaeological museum housing a remarkable exhibition of Roman paintings, its Art and History museum rich in collections of fine and decorative arts, its lapidary museum installed in the former church of Notre-Dame de Lamourguier, and the birthplace of Charles Trenet, now entirely dedicated to the famous singing madman. There is joy every year at the end of August with the Trenet festival, which honors French song through concerts, shows, bodegas and street arts!
