We loved everything about our stay here. The house was beautiful charming and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the city and enjoying Mardi Gras whilst being quiet enough to relax in. Proximity to awesome food places like mollys and steins was such a bonus. The home was quiet and privately tucked around the side of the house. We got to meet the sweet host dog graham and play a little fetch game. Would love to stay here again if we’re lucky enough to come back to this magical city.

The property is lovely, very well equipped and maintained. The lovely, curved and steep stairs could be a bit challenging for anyone with mobility issues. There is a pool so small children would need to be monitored closely. And the friendly family dog greets everyone enthusiastically! Very fun dog. Excellent location for eating, shopping and visiting the sites of New Orleans. We had absolutely no problem parking on the street. Easy and safe entry.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The yard was beautiful, and while we did not take the opportunity to enjoy the pool, it was exquisite!

Property is awesome and in a great location for local bars and restaurants. Property owner is on site and available for questions, but respects privacy. Pool is really nice in New Orleans heat!!

We stayed here with another couple for Mardi Gras and loved the place. Location makes it’s hard to get in and out of during Mardi Gras due to parades, but we knew that going in. The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Gem is a great description of this home. Everything was great - the location, the amenities, the space (indoor and outdoor). It was perfect for two adult couples and our desire to live like a local, engage in local festivities then retreat to a comfy space.

Communication with host was tricky. Thru a third party and many messages not answered. A guestbook with info on check out, WiFi, tv, etc would be a great addition. House was immaculate and had everything we needed. Outside was especially lovely. Location was perfect as well.

If you’re having trouble choosing a garden district/Irish Chanel property, stop and just stay here.
This is by far my favorite place I’ve stayed in the last 6 years. (I’ve been visiting for 20+ years but used to have a friends place)
It was spotless, had well stocked kitchen (extra of everything, no single trash bags single paper towel rolls here) and bathrooms (leave your shampoo, conditioner, body wash at home).
Authentic to period with just the right amount of modern touches.
The yard is awesome. Graham- the property dog is the sweetest. His parents were also super sweet.
Don’t hesitate to book this property!!!

Stairs were difficult. Tv is definitely
unfriendly to operate . White living room furniture was dirty. Bar stools were uncomfortable and unacceptable. Bathtub in Master did not work. no hot water. No hooks to hang towels on. Sun came in early morning since there were no curtains on transom window. Cheapest shampoo and conditioner. NO COFFEE!! guest bathroom is way too small. Windows were dirty!! Little thought for comfort of guest 75 years old and the worst VRBO I have ever stayed in!!in my lifetime.

Before accepting the reservation, my friends and I carefully reviewed the house rules provided. However, it appeared that these rules did not apply to the owner of the property.
On Saturday morning, when we attempted to use the pool, we encountered an individual and their dog lounging in the area. We were not aware that this space was communal property, and when we asked if we were disturbing them, they assured us that we were not. However, their behavior suggested otherwise, as they laid back in their chair as if we were intruding on their personal space.
Another concern arose when a cookout/pool party took place in the communal area. Despite receiving an email notification, we did not provide consent for such an event. Additionally, we made sure to diligently follow all of your house rules, only to discover that they were not being observed by the property owner.
