Wander through the French Quarter from a Treme Shotgun Home

Sit on the painted front porch of an Italianate shotgun house in the birthplace of Jazz. It has been renovated for modern conveniences but plenty of Victorian charm remains in the original fireplaces, wood trim, and claw-foot tubs.

The home exudes old-world charm—French doors, fireplaces, high ceilings, veranda, and shaded patio.

Treme is a historic neighborhood, and the birthplace of Jazz. The comfortable, secure location is close to all the action, yet removed enough for rest and relaxation. Nearby are Le Petit Jazz Museum, Lil Dizzy s Cafe, and the Rampart Streetcar.

Charming property in amazing location

This place is gorgeous! So much character, thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Dan was a brilliant host - responsive and gave loads of top tips about New Orleans which made our stay very memorable. Highly recommend!

Great location snd great host

Clean with ample supplies provided. Great location a walk to all that the French Quarter offers. The host Dan was great to deal with very accommodating. Parking in front is great. One bed had a spongy mattress but otherwise a perfect place to stay.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, this is a great location that’s quieter than staying in the French Quarter. Easy to get around. Enjoy the proximity to Armstrong Park.

Home was easy to find, it's just off the interstate. Home was clean and in good shape. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean. The unit is part of a duplex with paper-thin walls. Our neighbors got in around 10:30, argued a little, played with their large dog and did some laundry until about 1:30 in the morning, so really didnt sleep well, even with a sound machine. The backyard and laundry space is shared.

Very comfortable

The residence itself exceeded our expectations. It is roomy, well appointed, and well maintained and compared to other places in the area reasonably priced. Check in and out is straightforward, but there's nobody on site for questions or help. Location is not so good. It's a pretty good walk to get to the French Quarter. Few restaurants, stores, activities nearby, except for the WWII Museum, which is very good.

Dan is GREAT!

We had a lovely first time visiting New Orleans thanks to Dan and his home and hospitality! We were fortunate enough to meet him in person after messaging back and forth. He is as kind and personable face to face as he is online. We enjoyed many of his recommendations of sight seeing and eating locations. He gave us historical background information on the spot which we enjoyed immensely! His home is conveniently located - we walked everywhere we went (except on one rainy morning) when we went to Cafe DuMonde's for beignets. So much architecture and color and texture to soak in! One of our top three visits in a Vrbo!

PHENOMENAL PLACE

Dan and Jon were the sweetest host I have ever had they made my birthday so much fun! The house was so cute and clean I could not have found a better place to stay. It was close to everything but also on a quiet little side street. I just can’t brag enough on the guys and their home.

Great Trip. Even better property experience.

Daniel was beyond accommodating and personable. My wife and I just finished our 4 night stay with our small dog in tow and honestly can’t wait to come back again. Property is beautiful with a lot of charm in the Treme area. Close proximity to all the action but quiet at night. An unbelievable experience. Daniel was the best and if you are looking to experience the quarter this is the way to do it. We will def book again. Thanks again Daniel.

NOLA first timer!

In our group of 5, we had 2 NOLA first timers. This was such a prefect option to experience the history of the neighborhood! The location of the property was perfect for walking or driving to all the fun destinations. Dan and Jon were great hosts and very responsive to our questions/needs. The house was cozy and well equipped with necessities. We will definitely book again for our next trip!
