Interaction with the staff members (which were minimal) were great, but the place is pretty rundown. The fan in my bedroom rattled loudly, the gym center was cramped, and everything looked patched up in very shoddy ways. The outdoor seating was a nice thought, but it was filthy. I don't expect much from continental breakfasts, but this one was pretty sad. For $300/night, I would expect a bit more. The place needs a facelift asap.

This hotel is average, at best. The lobby is pretty, but the rooms are bleh. Every detail has been missed. Outlets are crooked, the stopper on our sink was missing, the shower and sink don’t drain fast enough, the vent in the bathroom was REALLY dirty & needs to be cleaned, there are paint drops on the floor, would not recommend staying here if you have OCD. The details will drive you nuts. The bed was fine.

Stay in NYC often for 1-2 might trips. This was a decent spot. Staff was very nice and room was bigger than most NYC places i've stayed. But the "breakfast included" was a joke, don't count on it as a bonus to your stay. Best thing is that is was great for the subway and we were able to get down to the WTC and up to museums with no trouble at all. Would stay again for the king bed and room size.

Very nice hotel in Chelsea area. We were able to hop the train in whatever direction easily. It’s a nice walk to Central Park with many landmarks on the way if you wish. Breakfast was nice, especially the muffins. Lots of good NYC pizza joints nearby. Had a small issue at checkin but the staff made it right immediately. Very thorough selection of toiletries and pillows/beds were clean and soft.

My son and I spent two nights at this hotel to visit NYC’s main attractions. This hotel is very conveniently situated, well priced and the rooms are nicely sized and very clean. The breakfast offers mainly breakfast pastries, yogurt and fruit. Everything is fresh and very tasty. I would definitely stay here again!

Close to subway but that's really it, beds are noisy and uncomfortable, bathroom was not clean, we had a street facing room and it was very loud, hotel staff not very helpful/friendly... overall this is a low-grade hotel that fit our needs but we won't stay here again or recommend it to others.

Service was good- everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated and we had a headboard that was falling apart. It’s not luxury and lacks the attention to detail in the maintenance that you’d hope for in a boutique hotel. Location is good with trains near by and lot of city buzz nearby.

The hotel is in a perfect location for accessing midtown and areas further south. I particularly liked that the neighboring shops are garden shops, so the sidewalk is filled with flowers and other plants. The room was quiet. There's a coffee maker and small fridge. Breakfast is free-pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee. I've read a lot of bad reviews about this place and either people have no idea what to expect in NYC for this price, or they just like to whine.

The rooms were clean and nice size. The bed you could feel the springs poking you. The heater was broken and it was 25 degrees outside. Maintenance could not fix it so they gave us a space heater that was missing the grill and seened unsafe. Novody from staff offered any solutions nor gave us any extra blankets. Was a difficult nights sleep

First there was no hit in that room no hot water and when I when to the fro desk they refused to switch me to another room The front desk lady was so rude to me I never come to this place again and don’t recommend to nobody this pace sucks.

The heater of the room was not working properly (it was blowing cold air). I told staff about this 3 times. The first two times, they just sent someone and he turned on the broken heater and left the room. The third time, they sent a technician, he opened the heater, and said he wanted to reset it. He came back after 10 minutes, and realized that resetting did not solve anything. He said I don't know what do and left! The third night in New York was a cold one and I caught a very bad cold. Completely irresponsible staff! This hotel is horrible and a total waste of money!

Nice property with updated amenities. Unfortunately, my room was never turned over even though I was gone during the service hours and did not have a do not disturb sign on my door. Room was comfortable but needs a microwave.

The worse stay at any hotel. Cold room, bed making noise and had to ask to change room because the bed wasn’t stable. Couldn’t get any help when called the front desk. I checked out the same night I checked in. Staff rude and not considerate at all. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Checking in was a challenge. I waited over 20 minutes at the front desk as no one was there. When the staff member finally came, there was a long line behind me. He had issues entering my credit card info, and told me it was being declined even though I had received a text message on my cell phone letting me know a charge had been authorized. I ended up having to turn my phone on, pay international charges to call my visa company that then confirmed there was no issue with my card. After over an hour had passed, another staff member came to help and fixed the issue in their computer and finally gave us keys to our room.

I don’t tend to write reviews. But I feel like this place is misleading. Both hotels.com and the hotel website say rooftop restaurant and bar. Which was actually one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. There is NOT a rooftop anything! It is permanently closed and this should be updated to say that. The pros: room size, fridge, location. The cons: bed was not very comfortable, water pressure and temperature was not good, a $30/day resort fee. Not sure what this is for. I definitely should have paid close attention to that. The breakfast is just coffee and pastries. There are a whole lot of other hotels in the area and I would not stay here again

Extremely poor value and a big disappointment
This hotel is way more dingy than the photos lead on. Our door was not properly installed, and had to be shoved open and closed to fit into its frame. The room's climate control did not seem to work. The showers were cold!! The gym was over 80°F. The front desk staff seemed exasperated and did not make eye contact nor asked us about our stay.
