"If you’re looking for a unique quiet medieval castle experience this is the place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Grounds were incredible, breakfast and dinner were very nice. Second oldest golf course in the world wasonly 3 miles away. Beautiful walking trail with view and historical stone marker at the capture location of Mary Queen of Scots. Would definitely stay again. Ian & Ellen"

"The rooms was spotless, its a very old building but modern and decorated beautifully, the bathroom was so clean and the shower was nice and powerful. The man was really friendly and the building its self is just amazing, all 5 of us (3 kids ) were impressed. The beds are the comfiest weve ever slept on. 100% would recommend this place . The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is friendly theres fields with cows surrounding it and friendly chickens running around. Nice stay if u love the peace, the shop is walking distance too."

"A truly wonderful cottage on the beautiful grounds of Oxenfoord Castle. Everything was incredibly clean, well appointed, and comfortable.Location was perfect after a week in London. A close drive to commuter trains into Edinburgh. Harriet was extremely helpful in her communications. A true gem of a place to stay."

"Very clean and convenient. A little strange that I had to give my license plate number as they have a private park ing ticketing company given parking tickets out. I guess it's a way to make money off guest if they forget to punch in. Stayed in Hotels all over the world, but never seen this tourist trap before."

"Great location for getting around Edinburgh, and having a bar downstairs is a nice bonus. The room made a great first impression and was clean and comfortable. It could do with a little TLC in places, but for the price it was excellent value for money. There's also on-site parking and a lovely pub garden at the rear, which was a nice added touch."

"Nice appartement with a large living-kitchen. Ideally located for a trip to Edinburgh; a 45 minutes ride with the bus that stops nearly in front of the appartement. Two supermarkets nearby (one 500m walk, the other 5 minutes drive). Parking on private ground in front of the appartement. And a very large and nice garden at the back op the house.Roselyn Chapel, worth a visit, is closeby with car. And a 45 minutes ride away is Jupiter Artland. A sculpture garden on a estate. We spent a whole day wandering around and had a delightful lunch. A day tour to the coast (North Berwick, St. Abbs) is also worth the effort."
