Located just a short 2-minute drive from the iconic and patrolled Catherine Hill Bay beach, this family-friendly cottage offers the perfect beachside getaway with a private pool and a large backyard for ultimate relaxation.
The cottage boasts 3 large bedrooms with comfortable queen and double bedding, ceiling fans, and plenty of natural light streaming through the original cottage windows. The cosy yet spacious lounge room is tastefully decorated with unique Australian decor, featuring a large smart TV and a well-appointed wood fireplace for those cooler nights.
Moving down the hall, the cottage opens up into a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. You'll fall in love with cooking meals for the family in the modern kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, coffee grinder and barista-style coffee machine, modern oven, and a gas top stove.
The adjacent bathroom features a large step-in shower over bath-style setup, inclusive of a toilet and basin, with a secondary toilet in the laundry. Opening up the rear door, you are greeted by the natural bush reserve, a large fully-fenced and grassed backyard, a large BBQ with outdoor seating, an outdoor shower, and a sparkling in-ground pool for those warm summer days and nights.
Please note that the Rosella Cottage has a strict no-party policy, and all noise must cease by 10 pm. This property is located in a community association with by-laws that must be adhered to, and there are repercussions for any breaches. Catherine Hill Bay is a small coastal village located in New South Wales. Known for its pristine beaches and historical significance, it offers a charming blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The township is named after the "Catherine Hill" a two masted wooden topsail schooner built at Wisemans Ferry in 1866. Catherine Hill ran aground on the beach between Bird Island Point and Lake Macquarie, during a fierce gale. The beach and bay where the shipwreck occurred was later named Catherine Hill Bay in commemoration of the wreck. The owner of the ship was Captain Hill.
The town's iconic jetty, surrounded by picturesque cliffs, provides a stunning backdrop for visitors to enjoy the atmosphere and indulge in various outdoor activities such as swimming, surfing, and fishing. Catherine Hill Bay is known as one of 'Australia's 101 Best Beaches'.

Neighbour Policy: No parties or excessive noise allowed as per NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. Failure to comply may result in police-assisted eviction or additional charges. Respect our neighbours' right to quiet enjoyment. A noise monitor and security camera may be present, but they will not be accessed unless alerted of any issues by neighbours or calls.
Prior to your arrival, please ensure that you fill out our check-in form. This form will request photo identification and evidence of credit card ownership. Additionally, please be aware that a $500 security deposit will be required. This deposit will be refunded upon inspection of the property upon your departure. Please be advised that it may take a few days for your bank to return the funds to your card, which is beyond our control.
Please complete a check-in form with your home address, email, and a copy of your Driver's License for identification. The maximum number of guests is stated in your booking, and additional visitors must be approved in writing by Lakeshores staff.
The reservation price is based on a minimum of (4) guests. Additional guests are charged per person per night. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable. Please enter the correct number of guests (children under 2 are free) when booking.
We aim to be eco-friendly. Basic toiletries may be provided, but it is recommended to bring your own. Hand wash and basic kitchen essentials will be supplied. Linen is provided, but please bring your own towels for pools, lakes, or beaches.
Insurance: We recommend obtaining Domestic Travel Insurance to cover emergencies, event cancellations, and situations not eligible for refunds as per our Terms & Conditions.

We will, of course, endeavour to rectify any issue should one arise however we cannot be held liable for such events. We must be given an opportunity to resolve any issues or move you to another of our properties before requesting any refunds.
