"This was a great place to stay! The staff was very kind and helpful. We had a battery die in our rental car and their maintenance man didn't hesitate to help us. The room was very nice and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed using the laundry facilities. But the highlight of the stay was each evening sitting out back and watching the amazing sunset on the private beach. Despite the sometimes over whelming impact and smell of the sargassum affecting all the waterways and beaches in south Florida, there was amazingly no sign of it here. There are plenty of good restaurant options close by, like The Catch and The Fish House. It is also conveniently close to the John Pennekamp State Park, where we enjoyed kayaking through the mangroves. We would absolutely stay here again."

"I wish there was the option for four and three-quarter stars. The reason that I rated it a four was because the carpet in our room was dirty and the shower was a little dangerous. There was nothing to hold on to. However, the check in staff was excellent, we didn’t use the breakfast bar, but I saw a lot of people using it, it was an affordable stop over between Punta Gorda and the keys. I would stay here again. The one thing that I didn’t realize is they do $100 deposit. Which was OK with me."

"The rooms are small but clean. It is an older property. I've been going here for over 20 years. The outside is why you go here. The beach area is cleaned daily with amazing sand, docks, and the best water to relax or snorkel in. Kayaks are included, too! This is a great place. They also have a communal washer/dryer to clean clothes; it takes quarters."
